resumo veleiro compreendendo uma pluralidade de cascos dispostos paralelamente entre si e acoplados conjuntamente por meio de um arranjo de viga, uma estrutura de vela que é rotativa em torno de um primeiro eixo de rotação, o qual é ortogonal em relação a um plano dos cascos, e um sistema de auto-equilíbrio que controla rotação da estrutura de vela em torno do primeiro eixo de rotação, método para endireitar um veleiro capotado em um corpo de água e método para auto-equilibrar um veleiro uma esquadra de embarcações navegando autonomamente, as quais são equipadas com equipamento de monitoração e comunicação para reportar condições de ambiente e outras. para estabilidade melhorada, as embarcações navegando autonomamente são velas multicascos (catamarãs) com capacidades de auto-endireitamento. cada embarcação navegando envia e recebe informação por meio de um ou mais links de satélite, usando energia solar para prover energia ao equipamento de comunicação assim como ao equipamento de monitoração. cada embarcação navegando inclui um sistema de auto-equilíbrio para manter um ângulo de ataque desejado com o vento e propulsão elétrica para uso, quando necessário, para manter uma direção desejada de proa. um desenho modular é usado para dar suporte às cargas úteis específicas de missão. 1/1
