resumo patente de invenção: "método para tratar óleo combustível pesado". a invenção refere-se a um método para tratar óleo combustível pesado a bordo de navios, o dito óleo sendo usado como combustível, em particular para um motor diesel, e o dito método compreendendo as seguintes etapas: a) provisão de óleo combustível pesado (óleo1) para ser tratado; b) alimentar o óleo combustível pesado (óleo1), que é provido na etapa a) e deve ser tratado dentro de uma centrífuga (7) por meio de pelo menos uma bomba (4), o óleo combustível pesado que deve ser tratado sendo aquecido antes de alcançar a centrífuga (7), pelo menos temporariamente ou permanentemente a uma temperatura de operação t2 em excesso de 98oc; e c) separação de uma fase aquosa (w) e uma fase de lodo (s) de uma fase de óleo puro (óleo2) na centrífuga (7).
