Abstract

Verfahren zur Aufbereitung von Schweröl an Bord von Schiffen, der als Brennstoff, insbesondere für einen Dieselmotor zu nutzen ist, mit folgenden Schritten: a) Bereitstellen von aufzubereitendem Schweröl (OIL1); b) Weiterleiten des bereitgestellten aufzubereitenden Schweröls (OIL1) aus Schritt a) mit wenigstens einer Pumpe (4) in eine Zentrifuge (7), wobei das aufzubereitende Schweröl vor dem Erreichen der Zentrifuge (7) erwärmt wird, und zwar zumindest zeitweise oder dauerhaft auf eine Separiertemperatur T2 von mehr als 98° C und c) Abtrennen einer wässrigen Phase (W) und einer Schlammphase (S) von einer Reinölphase (OIL2) in der Zentrifuge (7).
