resumo patente de invenção: "cepas streptomyces microflavus e métodos de seu uso para controlar doenças e pestes de plantas". a presente invenção refere-se a novas cepas de streptomyces microflavus e métodos de seu uso para o controle de doenças ou pestes de uma planta. a invenção também se relaciona a um caldo de fermentação obtido pelo cultivo de uma cepa streptomyces de produção de gougerotina, no qual o caldo de fermentação contém pelo menos cerca de 1 g/l de gougerotina. a invenção também se relaciona a um método de produção de um caldo de fermentação de uma cepa streptomyces de produção de gougerotina, no qual o caldo de fermentação contém pelo menos cerca de 1 g/l de gougerotina, o método compreendendo o cultivo da cepa streptomyces em um meio de cultura contendo uma fonte de carbono digerível e uma fonte de nitrogênio digerível sob condições aeróbicas, no qual o meio de cultura contém um aminoácido a uma concentração efetiva para alcançar uma concentração de gougerotina de pelo menos 1 g/l. a presente revelação também se relaciona a clonagem molecular de um aglomerado de gene biossintético de gougerotina de streptomyces microflavus, e identificação de genes individuais no aglomerado de gene, bem como as proteínas assim codificadas. um aglomerado de gene de gougerotina compreendendo 13 quadros de leitura aberta (orfs) está localizado no interior de uma localização genética de streptomyces microflavus.
