Abstract

resumo “processo para produção de uma espuma de poliuretano de baixa densidade de crescimento livre” a presente invenção descreve um processo para produção de uma espuma de poliuretano de crescimento livre, apresentando uma densidade menor ou igual a cerca de 0,75 pcf (12,01 kg/m3), com o processo compreendendo as etapas de: (a) contato de: (i) um isocianato, (ii) um primeiro poliól compreendendo uma primeira cadeia polimérica consistindo essencialmente de unidades de óxido de propileno e unidades de óxido de alquileno selecionadas de óxido de etileno, óxido de butileno e suas misturas, em uma proporção em peso de unidades de óxido de propileno em relação a unidades de óxido de alquileno na faixa de cerca de 90:10 a cerca de 25:75, com a cadeia polimérica sendo revestida na porção terminal com unidades de óxido de etileno, com o primeiro poliól apresentando um conteúdo de hidroxila primária de no mínimo 70% baseado no conteúdo de hidroxila total, (iii) água, (iv) um surfactante e (v) um catalisador para formar uma mistura de reação capaz de produzir uma espuma; e (b) expansão da mistura da reação que produz espuma de poliuretano de crescimento livre.
