processo para preparar espumas rígidas de poliuretano, e, espuma de poliuterano rígida. a invenção se refere a um método para produzir materiais de espuma dura de poliuretano reagindo-se a) poli-isocianatos com b) compostos tendo menos dois átomos de hidrogênio reativos com dois grupos de isocianato na presença de c) agentes de espumação, caracterizado em que os compostos tendo pelo menos dois átomos de hidrogênio reativos com os dois grupos de isocianato compreendem pelo menos um álcool de poliéter b1) tendo a funcionalidade de 2 a 8 e um número hidroxila de 200 a 800 mg koh/g, o dito álcool tendo sido produzido através da formação de óxidos de alquileno b1b) nos compostos tendo pelo menos dois átomo reativos com óxidos de alquileno b1a) indicados abaixo como substâncias de partida, usnado uma amina b1c) como um catalisador.
