resumo patente de invenção: "redução de dados de sistema de medição por coordenadas". a presente invenção refere-se a dados de medição por coorde-nadas, como dados de nuvem de pontos, associados a dados de máquina de medição por coordenadas que são reduzidos de uma maneira estratégica e sistemática segmentando-se e/ou reduzindo-se dados com base em infor-mações geométricas nominais contidas em um arquivo eletrônico, como um modelo de cad ou um plano de inspeção da máquina de medição por coor-denadas. por exemplo, em uma modalidade, uma aplicação de software é usada para identificar recursos geométricos e tolerâncias em um modelo de cad de um objeto e para segmentar dados de medição por coordenadas de um objeto físico com base nos recursos geométricos identificados e tolerân-cias do modelo de cad. aos diversos segmentos de dados de medição por coordenadas podem ser atribuídos diferentes exigências de dados e os dados podem ser reduzidos de diferentes maneiras em uma base de recurso-por-recurso.
