Abstract
polímeros trata-se de uma invenção que se refere a um polímero que compreende resíduos de 2-(4-amino fenil)-5(6) amino benzimidazol (dapbi), parafenileno diamina (ppd), e dicloreto de tereftaloíla, feito por um processo que compreende as etapas de: (a) formar uma pasta fluida de b por cento em mol de dapbi e y por cento em mol de ppd em um sistema solvente que compreende solvente orgânico e c por cento em peso de um sal inorgânico, em que o sal inorgânico está presente em uma quantidade de pelo menos 5 por cento em peso do solvente orgânico, sendo que dapbi e ppd estão presentes em uma quantidade suficiente para fornecer uma solução de polímero que tem uma porcentagem em peso de sólidos de 12 por cento ou maior em uma base de polímero; e (b) colocar em contato a pasta fluidada etapa (a) com uma quantidade estequiométrica de dicloreto de tereftaloíla para formar um produto que compreende o polímero; em que a soma de y + b é 100 e o produto de b x c é 225 ou maior.
