celulose nano-desagregada. a presente invenção se refere a métodos e sistemas para tratar celulose e torná-la mais acessível para modificação enzimática ou química. a presente invenção inclui tratar celulose com uma base alcalina em um sistema de cossolvente de álcool/água. o tratamento descritaliza ou desagrega o material celulósico. os métodos e sistemas aumentam a eficiência das modificações enzimática ou químicas de celulose para uso como biocombustíveis ou derivados de celulose.
