Abstract

arame principal para cabo submarino e marino. a presente invenção refere-se a arame principal para cabo sub-marino ou marino que compredende um núcleo condutor (10), tipicamente um núcleo de múltiplos filamentos de cobre, e um revestimento isolante compreendendo uma camada interna isolante (12) tendo uma espessura de 0,35 a 1,0 mm, de preferência de 0,5 a 0,75 mm, e uma camada de proteção externa (14) de fluoreto de polivinilideno tendo uma espessura de 0,15 a 0,3 mm, pelo menos a camada externa sendo reticulada por radiação. as camadas externas e internas são de preferência reticulada juntas empregando a radiação por feixe de elétrons. a combinação das camadas externas e internas do revestimento permite os cabos submarinos e marinos e assim por diante serem feitos com diâmetros menores, sem a perda da capacidade ou das propriedades elétricas e com um aumento do desempenho global, tal como,faixa de temperatura e propriedades mecânicas.
