Abstract

processo para fabricar etanol a partir de ácido acético. a presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a formação seletiva de etanol a partir de ácido acético por hidrogenação de ácido acético em presença de um primeiro metal, um suporte silicioso, e pelo menos um modificador de suporte. preferivelmente, o primeiro metal é selecionado do grupo que consiste em cobre, ferro, cobalto, níquel, rutênio, ródio, paládio, ósmio, irídio, platina, titânio, zinco, cromo, rênio, molibdênio, e tungstênio. além disso, o catalisador pode compreender um segundo metal preferivelmente sllecionado do grupo que consiste em cobre, molibdêmio, estanho, cromo, ferro, cobalto, vanádio, tungstênio, paládio, platina, lantânio, cério, manganês, rutênio, rênio, ouro e níquel.
