Abstract

Un proceso de formación selectiva de etanol a partir de ácido acético por hidrogenación de ácido acético en presencia del primer metal, soporte silicáceo y al menos un modificador de soporte; preferentemente, el primer metal es seleccionado del grupo que consiste de cobre, hierro, cobalto, níquel, rutenio, rodio, paladio, osmio, iridio, platino, titanio, zinc, cromo, renio, molibdeno y tungsteno; además el catalizador puede constar de un segundo metal preferiblemente seleccionado del grupo que consiste en cobre, molibdeno, estaño, cromo, hierro, cobalto, vanadio, tungsteno, paladio, platino, lantano, cerio, manganeso, rutenio, renio, oro y níquel.
