"CABO, E, PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR O MESMO". é descrito um cabo que inclui pelo menos um núcleo que compreende pelo menos um elemento transmissor e pelo menos uma camada de revestimento feita de um material de revestimento, em que o dito material de revestimento compreende: - pelo menos um primeiro polietileno com uma densidade não superior a 0,940 g/cm¬ 3¬, preferivelmente não inferior a 0,910 g/cm¬ 3¬, mais preferivelmente entre 0,915 g/cm¬ 3¬ e 0,938 g/cm¬ 3¬, e um ìndice de Fluxo em Fusão (MFI), medido a 190<198>C com uma carga de 2,16 kg de acordo com a nom-la ASTM D1238-00 entre 0,05 g/10 e 2 g/10<39>, preferivelmente entre 0,1 g/10<39> e 1 g/10<39>, o dito primeiro polietileno sendo obtido a partir de um material de rejeito; pelo menos um segundo polietileno com uma densidade superior a 0,940 g/cm¬ 3¬, preferivelmente não superior a 0,970 g/cm¬ 3¬, mais preferivelmente entre 0,942 g/cm¬ 3¬ e 0,965 g/cm¬ 3¬. Preferivelmente, a dita camada de revestimento é uma camada externa de cabo que tem uma função protetora.
