Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A RECUPERAçãO DE UM METAL PRECIOSO DE UM MATERIAL SULFìDICO, PROCESSO PARA A REMOçãO DE UM CONTAMINANTE DE UM MATERIAL SULFìDICO CONTAMINADO, PROCESSO PARA O TRATAMENTO DE UM MATERIAL SULFìDICO CONTAMINADO E QUALQUER METAL". Trata-se de um processo para a recuperação de um metal precioso de um material sulfídico, o qual compreende as etapas de preparação de uma solução de haleto ácida aquosa que tem um potencial de oxidação suficiente para oxidar o material sulfídico e tornar o metal precioso solúvel na solução, adição do material à solução de haleto ácida aquosa de modo que o material sulfídico seja oxidado e o metal precioso seja solubilizado, e separação do metal precioso do material sulfídico oxidado. Além disso, um processo para a remoção de contaminante de um material sulfídico contaminado compreende as etapas de misturação do material em uma solução aquosa em que uma espécie multivalente de um estado relativamente elevado de oxidação oxida o contaminante para tornar o mesmo solúvel na solução, produz um material refinado contaminante, e é reduzido a um estado relativamente de oxidação mais baixo; e remoção do contaminante da solução enquanto é regenerada a espécie multivalente ao seu estado de oxidação relativamente elevado.
