Abstract

"MéTODO PARA MELHORAR EFICIêNCIAS NA REPRODUçãO EM ANIMAIS DOMéSTICOS". A presente invenção se refere a um método para melhorar eficiências na produção de animais domésticos, tais como gado e porcos, durante o período das retenções dos mesmos em um aparato de alimentação de acordo com a pré-disposição genética de animais domésticos únicos para depósito de gordura, e, em seguida, alimentar os animais em cada grupo de forma substancialmente uniforme. Tal pré-disposição uniforme é determinada pela determinação homozigocidade ou heterozigocidade de cada animal com relação aos aleios de um gene que codifica um polipeptídeo específico para adiposidade, leptina semi-acabada, cujo gene é aqui a seguir denominado com 'ob', segregar tais animais em grupos com base no genótipo e, opcionalmente, fenótipo, alimentar e, fora isso, manter animais em um grupo junto com e distante dos outros grupos de animais, e cessar a alimentação dos animais no grupo em um tempo quando a condição de gordura corpárea mediana dos animais daquele grupo estiver em uma condição desejada de gordura corpórea. Embaladores podem ainda, mais precisamente, predizer a deposição de gordura em carcaças de animais vivos por eles adquiridos, levando a eficiências melhoradas.
