Abstract

"AMORTECEDOR DE RUìDO E VIBRAçãO". Um amortecedor de ruído e vibração para uso com uma estrutura rotativa, tal como um conjunto de eixo de transmissão para um sistema de árvore de transmissão veicular inclui um elemento interno, um elemento elastomérico, que se estende em torno do elemento interno, e um elemento externo, que se estende em torno do elemento elastomérico. O elemento interno é formado de uma folha de material que foi deformada até um formato desejado, enquanto o elemento externo é formado de um tubo de material tendo um comprimento que é selecionado para proporcionar a freq³ência de amortecimento desejada. A freq³ência de ressonância natural do amortecedor de ruído e vibração pode ser ajustada variando um ou ambos dentre o formato do elemento interno e o comprimento axial do elemento externo do amortecedor de ruído e vibração. Em ambos os casos, a distribuição de peso dos componentes do amortecedor de ruído e vibração é alterada. Como resultado, a inércia rotacional (e, em conseq³ência, a freq³ência de ressonância natural) do amortecedor de ruído e vibração pode ser alterada para absorver o ruído e a vibração indesejáveis aplicados ao sistema de árvore de transmissão e para minimizar a quantidade de ruído e vibração que é transmitida e amplificada pelo sistema de árvore de transmissão.
