Abstract
"DLC HIDROFìLICO EM SUBSTRATO COM EXPOSIçãO AO UV". A invenção refere-se a um substrato revestido com uma camada(s) ou revestimento(s) que inclui(em), por exemplo, o carbono amorfo em uma forma de carbono como diamante (DLC). Em certas modalidades, a camada inclusiva de DLC pode ser dopada com pelo menos um dopante de indução polar (por exemplo, o Boro, o Nitrogênio e/ou qualquer outro dopante de indução polar adequado) de modo a tornar a camada mais polar e assim mais hidrofílica de modo a ter um menor ângulo de contato <sym>. Em outras modalidades, onde tal dopamento é opcional, o DLC pode ser exposto à radiação ultravioleta (UV) em um modo suficiente para fazer com que o ângulo de contato <sym> da camada de DLC caia para uma faixa hidrofílica (por exemplo, menor do que ou igual a aproximadamente 20 graus).
