Abstract

"MéTODO DE ADAPTAçãO DE LIGAçãO EM SISTEMAS CELULARES OTIMIZADOS PARA DIFERENCIAR ENTRE VARIABILIDADE ALTA E BAIXA". A invenção refere-se a um método para efetuar adaptação de ligação nas interfaces de rádio de uma rede celular de dados em pacote otimizada que manipula diversos Esquemas de Modulação e Codificação (MCS) para maximizar a produção de dados. Em uma etapa fora de linha preliminar, o comportamento do sistema, em termos de produção líquida dos diversos MCSs disponíveis, é simulado para diferentes condições de C/I. A partir da simulação, são obtidos dois conjuntos de tabelas, cada uma incluindo limites ascendente e descendente expressos em termos de Taxa de Erro de Bloco (BLER). Os limites correspondem a pontos de comutação a partir de um MCS para os dois MCSs disponíveis que possuem a proteção imediata menor ou maior. Os dois conjuntos de tabelas se referem a ambientes de RF de maior ou menor diversidade, e se especializam mais ainda para levar em consideração ARQ híbrido do tipo II EGPRS, qual seja, Redundância Incremental (IR). Durante a transmissão, os blocos transmitidos são verificados quanto a FEC, e os resultados são enviados para a rede. A rede atualiza continuamente a BLER usando nivelamento exponencial. A fim de obter a resposta de tempo correta, independentemente do fato dos blocos de RLC serem ou não recebidos, é provido um filtro de confiabilidade cuja saída é usada para decidir o peso entre as medições novas e antigas para tomar a resposta de impulso de filtro de BLER exponencialmente decrescente com o tempo. A eficiência de IR é testada para cada bloco que chega, e uma variável IR_status indicativa é filtrada usando a mesma abordagem adotada para a BLER. Cada limite real de BLER a ser usado em adaptação de ligação é obtido por uma interpolação linear entre o limite disposto em tabela sem IR e com IR perfeita, ambos ponderados com IR_status filtrado. A BLER filtrada é em seguida comparada com os referidos limites interpolados para testar a chegada de uma condição de comutação de MCS. O controle de potência tem por objetivo manter constante a produção de pico de QoS por intervalo de tempo (figura 16).
