Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR UMA MONTAGEM DE ELETRODOS DE MEMBRANA E A MONTAGEM DE ELETRODOS DE MEMBRANA ASSIM PRODUZIDA". A invenção compreende um processo para produzir uma montagem de eletrodos de membrana compreendendo uma membrana de eletrólito polimérica tendo duas faces opostas, sobre cada uma das faces se aplica uma camada de catalisador e uma camada de distribuição de gás. As duas camada de distribuição de gás na montagem de eletrodos de membrana são formadas por substratos de carbono hidrofobizados que, usando tintas apropriadas contendo pelo menos um catalisador, ionómero e solvente dissolvidos, são revestidas com uma camada de catalisador, e são depois dispostas sobre faces opostas da membrana de eletrólito polimérica com as camadas de catalisador ainda no estado úmido. Mais tarde, uma ligação firme entre a membrana do eletrólito, as camadas de catalisador e os substratos de carbono é produzida por tratamento da montagem de eletrodos de membrana a uma temperatura elevada sob pressão.
