Abstract

"CONJUNTO DE ELETRODO PARA ESCALPO FETAL E MéTODOS DE FABRICAçãO DE UM CONJUNTO DE ELETRODO PAPA ESCALPO FETAL E DE MONITORAçãO FETAL". é previsto um eletrodo para escalpo fetal tendo uma extremidade em espiral (5), montada sobre a extremidade distal de um cubo dielétrico (4) e um eletrodo de referência (9) montado sobre a sua extremidade proximal. Aparelhos convencionais incluindo o tubo acionador (2) são usados para afixar a extremidade espiral ao escalpo fetal da maneira de um saca-rolhas. Estes componentes são removidos deixando fios de eletrodo (8) conectados com a extremidade em espiral (5) e o eletrodo de referência (9) respectivamente se estendendo do feto para conexão com equipamento de monitoração apropriado. A extremidade em espiral (5) do eletrodo é formada de aço inoxidável tipo 905L, que é essencialmente não magnético e não-magnetizável. Constatou-se que isto supera um problema significativo de eletrodos da técnica anteriormente existente quando usados para detectar intervalos de onda S-T particularmente onde propriedades magnéticas do aço inoxidável tipicamente utilizado podem levar a perdas de partes críticas do sinal. O eletrodo é particularmente apropriado para monitoração do intervalo S-T no qual é usado em uma configuração unipolar, isto é., o eletrodo de referência (9) não é usado, porém em vez disso um eletrodo remoto é afixado à coxa maternal. O fio conectado com o eletrodo de referência (9) pode, todavia, ser simultaneamente usado para monitorar a freq³ência cardíaca fetal.
