Abstract
"PREPARAçãO DE PROTEìNAS E PERMUTEìNAS DESALERGENIZADAS". Proteínas modificadas são descritas as quais mantém atividade enzimática e inseticida enquanto exibindo alergenicidade reduzida ou eliminada. Epitopos os quais aglutinam a anticorpos de anti-patatina foram identificadas, e removidas via mutagênese direcionada a sítio. Tirosina foram observadas a geralmente contribuírem às propriedades alérgicas de proteínas de patatina. Remoção de sítios de glicosilação foi observada a reduzir ou eliminar aglutinação a anticorpo. Permuteínas são também descritas as quais têm uma seq³ência de aminoácido redisposta enquanto retendo atividade enzimática. Proteínas e permuteínas alergenizadas podem ser usadas como materiais inseticidas, como suplementos nutricionais, e como agentes imunoterapêuticos.
