Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "SISTEMA DE MEDIçãO DE ESPESSURA E MéTODO PARA DETECçãO DE OCUPANTE DE VEìCULO". Se provê um sistema de detecção de passageiro (400). O sistema de detecção de passageiro (400)(Figura 6), utiliza um circuito de oscilação (10) que leva um eletrodo de antena (E1) a emitir um campo eletrificado que é interrompido pelas características elétricas de um objeto (OB) posicionado no assento (1). Esta interrupção altera a corrente e a fase do sinal no eletrodo de antena (E1). Por meio da comparação da corrente que flui no eletrodo de antena (E1) elou da diferença entre a fase do sinal no eletrodo de antena (E1) e a alimentação de saída do circuito de oscilação, com valores de limite predeterminados, é possível detectar a presença de um passageiro de uma maneira confiável e não dispendiosa. A determinação é feita com um arranjo de eletrodos em duas camadas, incluindo eletrodos menores e eletrodos maiores (El até E4). As duas camadas permitem o cálculo de uma quantidade de compressão no assento (1). A quantidade de compressão é utilizada para caracterizar o passageiro.
