Abstract

"TRANSPONDOR óPTICO, E, PROCESSO DE IDENTIFICAçãO AUTOMáTICA DE TIPO DE SINAL óPTICO". Um transpondor óptico capaz de efetuar o monitoramento de desempenho nas equivalentes de sinal elétrico de pelo menos dois tipos diferentes de sinal óptico cada um sendo identificado de forma singular em termos de protocolo de transmissão e/ou taxa de bit. O transpondor óptico inclui um módulo de receptor óptico/elétrico (0/E) para converter um sinal óptico de entrada de uma fonte de sinal óptico em um sinal elétrico; um módulo de monitoramento de desempenho para efetuar o monitoramento de desempenho no sinal elétrico; e um módulo de transmissor elétrico/óptico (E/0) para regenerar um sinal óptico de saída a partir do sinal elétrico para alimentar um destino de sinal óptico.
