Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA RE-MOLDAGEM DA EXTREMIDADE DE ESTIRAR DE UMA PRé-FORMA DE FIBRA óTICA". Um método e aparelho para o pré-estiramento de uma pré-forma de fibra ótica para prover afilamento de pontas pré-otimizadas e sistema para estiramento dessa fibra ótica. O tempo de paralisação de um aparelho de estiramento de fibra ótica pode ser consideravelmente reduzido, por prover pré-formas que tenham uma forma de ponta pré-otimizada. Pontas pré-otimizadas são providas as quais são fundidas na ponta por um aquecedor de indução de uma fornalha de aquecimento. Preferivelmente, a fornalha de pré-estiramento tem substancialmente o mesmo perfil de temperatura como a fornalha de estirar. Portanto, em razão da ponta da pré-forma ser otimizada e vidro sem uso ser removido, o rendimento do aparelho de estirar é vantajosamente aumentado. Além disso, a forma da ponta da pré-forma é otimizada de modo que ela tem sido exposta ao mesmo perfil de temperatura conforme teria sido vista a ponta de estirar formada na fornalha de estirar.
