Abstract

"FIBRA óPTICA COM IRREGULARIDADES NA FRONTEIRA DO REVESTIMENTO". Fibra óptica (10) feita com um cerne central (12), uma primeira camada de revestimento (16), e uma segunda camada de revestimento (18) tendo uma série de perturbações ou irregularidades formadas dentro da fronteira externa de outro modo geralmente circular da primeira camada de revestimento (16). As irregularidades na primeira camada de revestimento (16) interrompem a propagação de raios inclinados e estimulam o acoplamento dentro do cerne (12). Um revestimento intermediário (14) pode estar disposto entre o cerne e a primeira camada de revestimento (16). Um método de fabricação de fibra óptica também é revelado, compreendendo a perfuração de uma pluralidade de orifícios dentro do primeiro revestimento formando um material e na fronteira com um material formando a segunda camada de revestimento, perfurando um orifício central e inserindo um cerne preformado em dito orifício central.
