Abstract

"ELETRODO ELETROQUìMICO PARA CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL". Um catódio eletroquímico inclui um substrato de espuma de metal poroso, formado com uma rede de poros interconectados. Uma camada ativa e uma camada de difusão de gás microporosa hidrofóbica são ambas dispostas em uma ou mais superfícies do substrato de espuma de metal. O substrato de espuma de metal serve como o coletor de corrente do catódio. A camada microporosa é um material plástico como um fluoropolímero (isto é, PTFE) . O catódio também inclui uma microestrutura em partículas reforçada por ligação relativamente forte provida por sinterização de um aglutinante polimérico dentro da porosidade interconectada tridimensional do substrato de espuma de metal. As camadas reativas são preferivelmente fabricadas do mesmo material que o aglutinante.
