Abstract
"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA EFETUAR UM HANDOFF, TAL COMO UM HARD HANDOFF, EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO". Uma estação móvel (102) transmite uma pluralidade de canais incluindo um canal piloto e pelo menos um canal de informação. Na modalidade exemplar, a estação base (106) determina a adequação da energia de transmissão do sinal de link reverso de acordo com a energia recebida do sinal piloto do link reverso. Na presente invenção a potência de transmissão do canal piloto fica retida no nível em que ela estava antes da excursão de busca de freq³ência, concomitantemente elevando a energia de transmissão de pelo menos um outro canal transmitido pela estação móvel. Além disso, quando a estação móvel (102) não é capaz de elevar a energia de transmissão de todos os canais de informação, a estação móvel (102) gera um ranking de importância dos diferentes canais de informação e eleva seletivamente a potência de transmissão de tais canais.
