la figure 1 est une vue schématique en perspective d'un contreventement selon un premier mode de réalisation de l'invention, se trouvant dans sa position inférieure; la figure 2 est une vue schématique en perspective, montrant le contreventement de la figure 1 amené en position supérieure;
<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>

Bracing forming a guardrail of a working level of one
scaffolding.
The invention generally relates to a bracing, forming a guardrail of a working level of a scaffolding, as well as a method of erecting a scaffolding, allowing, by means of this bracing, better protection of the working workers. mounting.
It is in fact known that the assembly of a tubular scaffolding is done in successive levels, starting from the ground, and that assembly workers on an already installed working level of the scaffolding must first of all proceed, since this level of work, with the installation of a floor above their head, at a level corresponding substantially to the upper working level, then climb on this floor, install a guardrail or a temporary protection rail at this upper level, and continue the assembly of the tubular scaffolding
by repeating these operations from level to level.
The problem has therefore not yet been resolved.
the protection of assembly workers on a floor foreshadowing a higher level of work, from which they must proceed to raise the scaffolding, and can only put in place the final protective guardrails when the fitting or installation of this level of work has reached a certain stage. In other words, assembly workers are absolutely not protected against falls when they climb on a floor foreshadowing a level of work to be installed.
To solve this problem, and to further reduce the risk of accidents due to falls of workers, the invention proposes
a bracing forming a guardrail of a working level of a scaffolding, characterized in that it is supported, by uprights of the scaffold located under the working level in question, movably between two extreme positions respectively upper and lower, the bracing in its lower position being able to be fixed to these uprights from a working level immediately below the working level considered, and being able to be brought
and locked from this lower level in its upper position where it forms a guardrail of the working level considered.
It is understood that the bracing according to the invention can be brought, from a lower working level which is already provided with protection and safety systems, into an upper position where it forms a guardrail for the upper working level.
that will be installed. Thus, workers working on assembly and
when installing this upper working level are protected against falls by a guardrail which was mounted and fixed, at the desired location, even before the installation of the upper working level, that is to say before even that workers can access this higher level of work.
The bracing according to the invention thus makes it possible to eliminate the risk of falls which previously existed during the first stage of assembly and the development of a higher working level.
The invention also provides a method of erecting a scaffolding, allowing the protection against falls of workers working on the erection of the scaffolding and the establishment of a working level from an immediately lower working level, characterized in that it consists in fixing, in a mobile manner, a protective bracing on vertical uprights of the scaffolding between the two working levels considered, then in moving, from the lower working level, this bracing in an upper position where it forms a guardrail corresponding to the upper working level, to lock the bracing in this upper position, then to set up and install the upper working level, and to continue the raising and erection of the scaffolding from this upper level.
The invention will be better understood, and other objects, characteristics, details and advantages thereof will emerge more clearly during the explanatory description which follows, made with reference to the appended schematic drawings given solely by way of example illustrating three embodiments of the invention and in which:
Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a bracing according to a first embodiment of the invention, located in its lower position; FIG. 2 is a schematic perspective view, showing the bracing of FIG. 1 brought into the upper position;
FIGS. 3 and 4 are views corresponding to FIGS. 1 and 2, but showing a second embodiment of a bracing according to the invention; and
Figures 5 and 6 are views also corresponding to figures let 2, and showing a third embodiment of a bracing according to the invention.
There is therefore shown schematically in Figures 1 and 2, a scaffolding during assembly, in which the working level N is already assembled and installed, and where we will proceed with the assembly and installation of the working level immediately. higher N + 1, which is shown in dotted lines in Figure 2.
The working level N comprises a floor 10 which rests on horizontal bars 11 of vertical scaffolding elements hereinafter referred to as ladders, comprising vertical uprights 12 interconnected from place to place by the horizontal bars.
11 and which are arranged transversely in the scaffolding. The workers on the working level N are protected against falls from outside the scaffolding by a bracing 13 according to the invention, forming a guardrail.
this level of work N, already in place, as will be explained below.
The workers on working level N fix,
<EMI ID = 1.1>

This bracing 13 essentially comprises two parallel uprights 15, which are interconnected at one of their ends,
<EMI ID = 2.1>
Each upright 15 of the bracing 13 is pivotally mounted
<EMI ID = 3.1>
by means of a bracket 18, which is itself pivotally mounted on the upright
15 of the bracing 13, and which can be locked in place on the upright 12 of the scaffolding by a key. At its two opposite ends, each upright 15 comprises two identical brackets
18 which will lock the bracing 13 in its upper position, as will be explained below.
The assembly of the bracing 13 intended to form a

the worker on level N, and who are already protected against falls by a first bracing 13 in place, fix the second bracing 13 on the upper part 14 of the vertical uprights 12 above, by means of the intermediate brackets 18 of each amount 15 of the bracing
13. In this position, the bracing 13 to be assembled is reversed, that is to say that the frame 16 is at the bottom, and the free ends of the uprights 15 are at the top, as shown in FIG. 1.
It is then sufficient to pivot the bracing 13 in its entirety, around the intermediate brackets 18 of the uprights.
15 which are fixed on the vertical uprights 12, the pivoting taking place for example in the direction of the arrows 20 shown in FIG. 1. The second bracing 13 is brought into the position shown in FIG. 2, and locked, on the vertical uprights 12 the brackets 18 carried by the free ends of the uprights 15 of this bracing.
We then proceed in the conventional way, by installing a work floor 21, shown schematically in dotted lines in Figure 2, and which will be intended to form the working level N + 1, the workers then climbing to this working level N + 1 where they are protected against falls by the second bracing 13, they then raise the scaffolding by interlocking new ladders 22 in the lower ladders, and
they then lock on the corresponding vertical uprights of these new ladders 22, the brackets 18 carried by the end of the uprights 15 of the bracing 13, in the vicinity of the frame 16 forming a guardrail.
The assembly of the scaffolding then continues by repeating the operations which have just been described.
In Figures 3 and 4, there is shown an alternative embodiment of the bracing according to the invention.
The bracing 30 of this second embodiment comprises, like the previous one, two parallel uprights 31 interconnected at one of their ends by a frame 32 with bracing 33.
The free part of each upright 31 forms, with three articulated bars 34., a deformable parallelogram 35, in which the two opposite parallel bars 34 are fixed in pivoting on the upper part 14 of the exterior vertical uprights 12 of the scaffolding, by means of keyed calipers 36. In this way, and
as shown in Figure 3, the uprights 31 of the bracing
30 and the bars 34 which are parallel and opposite to them, are arranged substantially vertically, parallel to the uprights 12.
The assembly and use of this second embodiment of the bracing according to the invention are carried out as follows.
The workers, being on the working level N, fix the parallelograms 35 of the bracing 30 on the upper part 14 of the exterior vertical uprights 12, as shown in FIG. 1, by means of the keyed stirrups 36.
The bracing 30 then occupies the position shown in Figure 3, that is to say that the frame 32 is in a lower posi-tion, slightly outside the scaffolding, the deformable parallelogram 35 being flattened, the bar 34 opposite
to the upright 31 located at the very top of the parallelogram. It is then sufficient for the workers to pull on these bars 34 opposite the uprights 31 of the bracing 30, as indicated by the arrows 37 in FIG. 3, to deform the parallelograms 35, open them, and flatten them again, before locking them in rotation. on the corresponding uprights 12 of the scaffolding, when the bracing 30 is in the position shown in Figure 4.
The bracing maintained in this position by locking the parallelograms on the uprights 12, in the form of a guardrail for level N + 1. When the floor 21 of this level
N + 1 is installed, as well as the upper ladders 22, it locks on the vertical uprights of these ladders 22, the bracing 30, by means of the keyed brackets 36 which are provided at the upper end of the uprights 31.
In the third embodiment shown in Figures 5 and 6, the bracing 40 comprises, as before, two uprights 41 joined together, at one of their ends, <EMI ID = 5.1>
end two keyed stirrups 43, spaced from one another, and intended to be mounted on a vertical upright 12 outside the scaffolding.
The workers on the working level N assemble the bracing 40 on the vertical uprights 12 of the scaffolding, by means of the brackets 43, as shown in FIG. 5, these brackets 43 not being completely locked on the uprights.
12, and being able to slide along these uprights 12, in the direction indicated by arrows 45 in FIG. 5. The workers thus raise the bracing 40 into the position shown in FIG. 6, and the brackets 43 are then keyed and locked in position on the uprights 12. Then, the floor 21 of the working level N + 1 is assembled, the upper vertical ladders 22 are nested in the previous ladders, and the keyed stirrups 43 provided at the ends of the uprights 41 of the bracing 40 , in the vicinity of the frame 42, are locked on the uprights: '
i verticals of these upper scales 22.
It is easy to understand that the bracing according to the invention allows the protection of the assembly workers on the working level N + 1 whose floor has just been installed,
and even before the upper ladders 22 are installed and a provisional protection bar can be placed between these upper ladders 22.
It is also evident that many other embodiments of the bracing according to the invention are possible without departing from the scope of the present invention.
It is therefore understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described and shown which have been given only by way of example. In particular, it includes
all technical equivalents of the means described, as well as
their combinations, if these are carried out according to the spirit of the invention and implemented within the framework of the following claims.
