<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

"Light alloy bodies manufactured by sheets fixed to profiled structures *
Until this day the various light alloy bodywork systems for closed trucks used the various techniques developed to fix the plates on the structure in extruded profiles, namely welding, riveting, buttoning) the pinching of the sheet between 2 profiles bolted.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to trucks manufactured according to this latter nipping technique.
But the systems known until. today on the market use - either the pure and simple clamping between 2 profilas with bolting of these and then the bolts are visible; - or the pure and simple clamping between 2 profiles with the bolting hidden by a 3rd profile very difficult to put in place because it requires a lot of labor to bring the bolts in front of the housing holes.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to provide a bodywork assembly system allowing the covering of the fixing bolting of the profilas which is very easy to place and which requires only little labor.
For this purpose, the metal profiles to house have in combination a basic structure having grooves cooperating with a clamping profile of the edge of the sheet to be fixed, after which these two profiles are secured by a bolt which is however only tightened. 'lastly by a cover profile which can slide for its installation and presses the profiles against each other by the action on the bolts.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of a bodywork assembly according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a cross section of a
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
profile structure.
Fig. 2 shows how we present the edge of the sheets to be assembled in the profile of the rod 1
Fig. 3 indicates the way in which the clamping profile looks when it is presented in front of the profile of FIG. 1.
Fig. 4 shows the parts present at the time of the introduction of the securing bolt.
Fig. 5 shows the installation of the cover profile hiding the bolts.
Fig. 6 indicates all the parts in place, the assembly operation being completed.
As shown in these drawings, a structural profile 1 has grooves 2 intended to receive a clamping profile 3 after presentation and folding back of the sheets 4 (fig. 3). The bolts 5 joining the clamping profile and the structural profile are then introduced.
After this operation, the washer 6 and the nut 7 can be engaged and ensure a first installation of the various elements of the body.
Once the washer and nut have been engaged, the cover profile is slid between the sheet and the clamping profile by a double lateral sliding (fig. 5), once from right to left and once from left and right.
Thanks to this maneuver, it is possible to establish marking notches ot locate the exact position of the cover profiles.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The final tightening of the nut can then be achieved.
