<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
tourillon.

fig. 2.

Device for automobile concrete mixers
The present invention relates to a device for automobile concrete mixers equipped with a rotary mixer-drum.
For mounting the mixer drum of automobile concrete mixers, a roller device is generally provided, on which the mixer drum rests by means of a rolling ring. In addition to this device
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
of rollers, the mixing drum is carried by a journal provided on the bottom of the drum and which is, for its part, arranged or mounted at the upper end of a support bearing. The support bearing and the roller device are carried on a frame mounted on the vehicle frame.
For the drive of the drum, the latter is provided with a toothed ring, in which engages a pinion which is driven, via a gear, by a special drive motor mounted on the frame of the mixer drum . Due to the relatively large dimensions dr. drum, the inevitable deformations of the filled drum, as well as twists of the vehicle frame and, where appropriate, also of the mixer frame, it is difficult to consistently obtain the exact position of the drive pinion relative to the toothed crown.
The present invention aims to provide a device which overcomes these difficulties and furthermore makes it possible to obtain uno simplification in the mounting of the drive of such mixer-drums.
According to an essential feature of the invention, the drive gear of the mixing drum is incorporated in the support of the journal. According to another characteristic of the invention, the outer side of the bottom of the drum carries the toothed ring drive of the drum, said toothed ring surrounding the journal and being provided with internal toothing, in which the mounted drive pinion engages. in the journal support.
It is advantageous, in this arrangement, that the drive motor is clamped on the support of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
journal.
By virtue of the arrangement according to the invention, the cost of a bearing support is first of all avoided, since the gearbox is used for this purpose. Since both the journal and the drive pinion are mounted in the same gearbox, the distance between the drive pinion and the axis of rotation of the drum is clearly determined, so that it is not necessary, during assembly, to carry out any special adjustment operations.
Any deformations, due to the forces during practical use, exert, in the device according to the invention, no influence on the adjusted position of the drive pinion relative to the driven ring gear.
The device, according to the invention, of the toothed ring, further facilitates on the one hand, the fixing of the toothed ring on the drum, and on the other hand, the adjustment of the toothed ring relative to the axis of rotation of the drum. Thanks to the internal toothing, the possibilities of closing this gear part and, consequently, the protection against soiling, are improved.
In addition, the way in which the actor is clamped offers an additional simplification of the construction *
