It has just been discovered that new valuable azo dyes are obtained when a diazotized 2-amino-6-nitronaphthalenesulphonic acid is copulated in an ortho position to the amino group with an azocompound containing an amino group when converts the aminoazo dye into the corresponding triazol compound, converts therein the nitro group into an amino group, dinitrogen copulates with an aminocompound of the benzene or naphthalene series in the para position relative to the amino group, when, after further diazotization, one copulates with a compound containing an amino group, in position ortho to the amino group, and converts the o-aminoazoic group into a triazol nucleus.
We arrive at the same dyes when starting from 2-acetylamino-6-aminonaphthalenesulfonic acids, when dinitrogenation and copulation, when the acetyl group is separated after the first triazolation and the remainder of the same procedure is carried out. way that above.
Another embodiment of the process consists in copulating a diazotized 2-amino-6-nitronaphthalenesulfonic acid with an aminocompound of the benzene or naphthalene series, in the para position relative to the group. amino, when dinitrogenated again, copulates with a compound containing an amino group, in position ortho to the amino group, when triazole, reduces the nitro group, dinitrogen, copulates with an amino compound by dyeing o-aminoazo and finally when we triazole again.
Finally, the new dyes can also be prepared when a p-amino-azo dye obtained from diazotized 2-amino-6-nitronaphthalenesulphonic acid is reduced to a diaminoazo dye by coupling with an aminocompound of the benzene or naphthalene series. when tetrazotized, copulates with two moles of aminocompounds the same or different from each other, coloring o, o'-diaminoazo, and triazolated on both sides.
The conversion of the o-aminoazo dyes into the corresponding triazole compounds is carried out by methods known per se, for example by reacting an ammoniacal solution of divalent copper salt or with sodium hy-pochlorite. The conversion of the nitro group into an amino group can for example be carried out with sodium sulphide or with iron and acetic acid.
Suitable 2-amino-6-nitronaphthalene-sulfonic acids for the present process are, for example, 2-amino-6-nitro-naphthalene-8-sulfonic acid and 2-amino-6-nitronaphthalene-4,8 acid. -disulfonic.
As aminocompounds which, after coupling, lend themselves to triazolation, the following can be used for example: 2-aminonaphthalene, 2-aminonaphthalene-5-sulfonic acid, 2-amino-naphthalene-6- acid. sulfonic acid, 2-amino-naphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid and 1-aminonaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid.
Suitable aminocompounds of the benzene or naphthalene series which can be coupled in the para position to the amino group and then diazotized again, are, for example, aminobenzene, 1-amino-3-methylbenzene, acid 1-aminobenzene-2-sulfonic acid, 1-aminonaphthalene, 1-amino-naphthalene-6-sulfonic acid and 1-aminonaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid,
The new dyes dye natural or regenerated cellulose fibers mainly in yellow tones, with remarkable resistance to light.

The paste obtained is stirred with 700 parts by volume of water, it is made weakly alkaline with sodium carbonate, it is heated to 60 ° C., a solution of 42 parts by weight of sodium sulphide crystallized in 100 parts by weight is added. volume of water and it remains at about 60 ° C. until the reduction is complete. It is isolated in an acid medium with congo red with sodium chloride, it is redissolved again in an alkaline medium and filtered.
The filtrate maintained weakly alkaline with sodium carbonate is added 138 parts by volume of sodium nitrite solution at 10% and tetrazotated by pouring into 84 parts by volume of hydrochloric acid (d = 1.14) When the tetrazotation is Once completed, add a neutral solution of 44.6 parts by weight of 2-aminonaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid in 1000 parts by volume of water at 0-3 C and coupling.
The paste obtained is dissolved hot in 1200 parts by volume of water and treated with the double quantity, with respect to the indications in Example 1, of ammoniacal solution of copper sulphate, until the completion of the triazolation. . After isolation, a brown powder is obtained by drying which dissolves with a yellow color in water. The dye dyes the cotton in yellow tones like the compound obtained according to Example 1.
If, in this example, 2-amino-6-nitronaphthalene-48-disulfonic acid is replaced by the equivalent amount of 2-acetylamino-6-aminonaphthalene-4,8-disulfonic acid and carried out instead of reduction with sodium sulphide, saponification with caustic soda, a dye endowed with similar properties is obtained with a procedure which is the same for the remainder.
Example 4.
100 parts by weight of cotton are added at room temperature to a dye bath which contains in solution in 5000 parts by volume of water 2 parts by weight of the first dye of Example 1, 1 part by weight of carbonate of sodium and 20 parts by weight of sodium sulfate. The dye bath is heated for approximately one half hour at 90-95 ° C. and maintained for one half hour at this temperature. The cotton is then rinsed and dried.
A yellow dye is obtained which offers excellent resistance to light.
2-Amino-6-nitronaphthalene-4,8-disulfonic acid, copulates with one of the initial components of the first column of the following table, when triazole, reduces the nitro group to an amino group, when dinitrogen this copulates the diazocompound with one of the central components indicated in the second column, when it is united after further diazotization with one of the final components mentioned in the third column, and when tetrazole.
