Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
DESCRIPTION
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
page 2.

The present invention relates to the construction of a hot air generator specially designed to give a high thermal efficiency in a small footprint,
DESCRIPTION
The heat source is an automatic or non-automatic burner (I) with liquid or gaseous fuel. It can also be a solid fuel fireplace.
The flame develops in a combustion chamber (2) having the shape of two truncated cones or pyramids joined by their base and whose lower part (3) forming a hearth is lined with refractory materials.
This characteristic shape was adopted in order to obtain a sufficient volume of chamber while exposing the walls of the upper pyramid (4) to the radiation of the hearth and bringing them closer to the flame.
All the walls of the chamber are lined with fins (5) intended to increase the heating surface.
A deflector (6) forces the air passing through the generator to lick the walls and fins of the chamber (2) in the hottest zone.
On the burner side, the combustion chamber has a removable cover bolted to its wall. Removing this cover provides easy access to the interior of the fireplace.

page 2.
On this cover are welded a sleeve (8) allowing the passage of the burner barrel and one or more pipes (9) forming a look on the hearth or allowing the entry of secondary air for combustion. The conduits (8) and (9) also prevent any communication of combustion gas with the air circuit to be heated.
In the upper part (4) of the combustion chamber there is a pipe (10) closed at its end on the burner side but having a slot (11) at its upper part.
The role of this pipe is twofold: on the one hand, it serves as a deflector for the flame which it separates to force it to lick the walls of the walls of the upper part (4) of the chamber (2) and serves on the other hand to evacuate the combustion gases from the chamber (2) through the slot (11) to the recuperator (12) separated by an air passage (13).
This recuperator welded to the pipe (10) can have the same shape as the combustion chamber or be constituted by a simple sheet metal box or a series of flue pipes, round or rectangular, fitted with fins or not.
The combustion gases leave the recuperator (12) through a duct (14) which leads them to the chimney.
The air to be heated is drawn into the bottom of the generator through orifices (15) fitted or not with an air filter.
It is sucked by a centrifugal fan (16) mounted in a base on anti-vibration.
The discharged air is channeled into the space reserved between the outer jacket (19) and the chamber (2). It licks all the walls of the latter thanks to the shape of this chamber and the presence of the deflectors (6).
Part of this air passes between the chamber (2) and the recuperator (12) via the channel (13) which thus ensures the cooling of the walls which contribute to increasing the heating surface. The xxxheated air exits through the orifice (20).
