Appareil de chauffage comportant au moins une arrivée d'air comburant, un foyer (2) à grille, un cendrier (14) de récupération des déchets de la combustion, une évacuation des fumées (5), une chambre de combustion (3), (20) sous le foyer à tirage inversé et un dispositif récupérateur de chaleur (4) alimenté en fluide caloporteur positionné partiellement sous le dit foyer caractérisé en ce que le dit dispositif récupérateur de chaleur comporte au moins un caisson (4A) situé sous le foyer dans le cendrier et écarté des parois de l'appareil, l'arrière du dit caisson étant raccordé à la plaque foyère par un obstacle (19), (29) en sorte que les gaz de combustion soient amenés pour rejoindre l'évacuation de fumées derrière et/ou latéralement au foyer à passer au-dessus puis au-dessous du dit caisson.1.
