<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The present invention relates to a device intended particularly, but not exclusively, to ensure the assembly between the base frame of a liquid distribution pump and its base built into the ground.
We know that pumps for dispensing liquid such as gasoline or diesel are generally provided with a base frame, which is fixed to a base in the form of a box and made of stony material built into the ground and through which the or the fuel supply ducts to the distributor, this fixing being made using soft bolts in the base.
It is therefore essential, for the purpose of this fixing, that the horizontal surface of the base frame of the pump, be provided with holes made
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
before the mentage of this frame and coinciding exactly with the :, bolts of the base.
Now, dative.! The current state of manufacture of gasoline or other fuel dispensing pumps, the dimensions of the pedestals and base frames vary from manufacturer to manufacturer so that the spacing between the fixing bolts sealed in the base for a specific pump, does not correspond to the spacing of the holes provided in the base frame of a pump from another manufacturer.
As a result, the replacement of a damaged pump by a pump from another manufacturer can only be obtained by replacing the stone base as well, which necessarily gives rise to expensive earthworks or in any case always. bothersome for the pump operator.
This drawbacks are eliminated by the assembly system which is the subject of the present invention, thanks to the fact that the connection between the base frame of the pump and its base no longer takes place by means of sealed bolts in the base, but using particularly simple means making it possible to anchor or grip this frame to its base, these gripping means adapting without difficulty to any basic frame, of a pump distribution of liquid, and allowing the assembly of this frame to a base already placed in the ground.
For this purpose, the gripping means according to the invention consists of a fitting in the form of an angled lever, which fitting rests on the inner face of the frame, such that pressure exerted by means of a tightening bolt - on the upper end of this elbow lever in contact with the base frame of the pump, has the effect of causing the amber end of this lever to move towards the inner wall of the base,
with this same end anchored in the material of said code

By way of example, a preferred embodiment of the object of the invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
Figure 1 is a half plan view of a. basic frame of a fuel pump, placed on its installation base.
Figure 2 is a sectional view, on a larger scale, following
EMI3.1
the li; nc A-: a-Ç-J1, of figure 1.
Figure 3 is a schematic fragmentary view showing a modified embodiment of the invention.
In these drawings, 5 denotes the usual frame constituting the base of a fuel distribution pump. This frame 5 rests on the usual base 6 made of stony material and in the form of a box, which is built into the ground.
Inside the frame 5 and under the horizontal flange 5a thereof is applied a fitting 8, forming an angled lever, the branch 8a of which is, in the example shown, engaged by a bolt 9 crossing the aisle 5a of the frame 5. The other branch of the angled lever 8 ends with a curved part 8b directed towards the inner wall of the base 6 with which this end comes into contact '.
The fitting 8 is profiled in such a way that when the actual elbow 8c is applied against the lower face 5b of the wing 5a, and the curved end 8b is in contact with the inner wall of the base 6, the branch 8a of said fitting is spaced at a certain angle from face 5b.
Thanks to the fact that the fulcrum formed by the elbow 8c is directed towards the center of the base and that the curved end 8b is directed towards the outside, that is to say towards the base 6,
EMI3.2
lO: .3: 1l1C the bolt 9 will be taken out, this one will go on the branches of the fitting n, as on a lever arm to strongly apply 1 .. 'P T',. ^ '.I, 11.1,' curved 8b of It) ("\ j! this end in the stone of the base 6.
For this purpose the end @@ ity 8b is advantageously cut so as to allow a cetrai penetration thereof into the wall of the base.
It is understood that with such an assembly system it will be possible to anchor bases such as 5, exhibiting fairly significant differences between them, due to the fact that the angal spacing -; -: between the branch or lever arm Sa will make it possible to compensate for the differences in spacing between the lower walls of the base C and the holes 10 formed in advance in the wing 5a for receiving the bolts 9.
It goes without saying, moreover, that the fittings 8 can receive in advance various conformations with a view to their adaptation to the an- thormage of a pump of a specific manufacture to a base designed to receive a pump of another manufacture and whose characteristics are known.
The anchoring fitting according to the invention has been described and illustrated as having its two ends @ gées in the lead direction. It must be understood, however, that this fitting pouria, Without departing from the invention, have two ends directed in opposite directions, as shown in FIG. 3. It will be noted from this figure that the anchoring between the frame 5 and the base 6 may be obtained using a fitting 11 profiled in "S" or 'in inverted "Z", the lever formed by the branch 11a resting this time by its end on the frame 5 and not not by the elbow 11c of this fitting.
From the above it will be understood that the replacement of a pump by the pump of another manufacturer can be carried out -immediately, by shearing, at the level of the base, of the bolts sealed in the latter.
