<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The present invention relates to a device for rolling stretchers provided with a sleeping table for the patient, tilting towards one of the ribs. The invention is mainly characterized in that the sleeping table, by a movement independent of the tilting movement, can be moved to the side on which the sleeping table can tilt. Thus, the advantage is obtained that the sleeping table can be made to rest elastically on the lying surface of the bed in the immediate vicinity or under the patient, so that the latter can be easily slid from the bed to the sleeping table. sleeping and vice versa.
'In order to facilitate as far as possible the movement of the patient from the bed or some other similar place to the sleeping table or vice versa, the latter preferably tapers into an ovoid edge on the side on which the sleeping table is tiltable.
Further, the sleeping table can pivot in the horizontal plane so that the longitudinal center line of the sleeping table can take an angle with respect to the corresponding line.

of the rolling stretcher and, thus, also in relation to the edge of the bed. This gives the advantage that the sleeping table can take an elastic support on the mattress in such beds whose opening along the edge of the bed is less than the length of the sleeping table, for example in beds equipped with a mattress holder projecting above the mattress and placed at the head and / or at the foot.
The pivoting movement of the sleeping table in the horizontal plane may be dependent or independent of the tilting and / or lateral movement of the sleeping table.
The invention is described in detail below, with a description of two embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings.
In the drawings, FIG. 1 shows in cross section a rolling stretcher mounted on two pairs of wheels and with the sleeping table in the transport position and in the tilted and moved position.
Fig. 2 shows on a larger scale a cross section along the line A-A in fig. I. Figs. 3-5 show the other embodiment of the rolling stretcher seen from the front, plan and side.
A U-shaped sliding path 1 is fixed on the frame 2 of the rolling stretcher. An axis 3 is mounted on two ball bearings 4 in this sliding path. A T-shaped guide rail 5, fixed to the underside of a sleeping table 6, is provided with a closed groove 7 through which the axis 3 passes. The rolling cot is equipped with two such sliding track systems, one above each pair of wheels.
The device for locking the transport position is executed in such a way that the lateral displacement of the sleeping table 6 is prevented by a resilient lock 8, fixed in the sliding path I and which automatically engages in a recess 9 in the rail -guide 5, at the same time as the tilting of the sleeping table 6 is prevented by the entry into a groove II of the guide rail 5, of a pin 10 located on the sliding path I
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The sleeping table 6 is provided with an ovoid edge 12, which facilitates the transposition of the patient on the sleeping table
As can be seen from FIG. I, the axis 3 is mounted on the side of the axis of the center of gravity of the sleeping table 6, and more precisely, on the side where the sleeping table can tilt.
Thus, the sleeping table rests in a very stable manner on the frame in the transport position, while, simultaneously, in the displaced position the sleeping table can be brought as close as possible to the patient, which considerably reduces the distance. movement of the patient from the bed to the sleeping table, and that the inclination angle of the sleeping table in the tilted position, for different bed heights, is less than if the sleeping table is not movable.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3-5, the rolling stretcher has three main parts; a J3 sleeping table, a frame 14 and two sliding systems 15. Each sliding system 15 is movably mounted on both the sleeping table 13 and the frame 14, and comprises a base plate 16 with shoulders 17 and 18 in which is fixed a sliding rod 19; a sliding sleeve 20 and a support roller 21. The sliding sleeve 20 is movably mounted in a fork 22.
The base plate 16 is movably mounted on the flat lower face 23 of the sleeping table 13 by a dowel 25 mounted in an oval hole 24 in the base plate and by a fixing member 26 for a handle 27 and surrounding the rear edge of the base plate 16. The peg 25 is screwed into the. flat lower face 23 and has at its lower end a hole in which a pin 28 is placed for fixing the pin 25 in the base plate 16.
The two sliding systems 15 are only movable in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rolling stretcher
The sleeping table 13 being movably fixed to the two sliding systems 15 by the pegs 15 and the fasteners 26 of the handle, one of the ends of the sleeping table can be brought against the edge of the bed. reads until his shoulder

18 abuts against the sliding sleeve 20 and in doing so the longitudinal center line of the sleeping table comes to take an angle of inclination to the corresponding center line of the rolling cot, as shown by the outer contour in dashes in fig. 4.
This oscillation of the sleeping table can take place regardless of the tilting position in which the sleeping table is located. To perform the oscillating movement, a locking hook 29 must first of all be released, by means of a locking lever 31, from a pin 30 fixed in the frame 14.
