SPINDLE HOLDER ASSEMBLY FOR TEXTILE MACHINES.
The present invention relates to an assembly applicable to spindle holders which, used on textile machines, consist of an arm which is fixed to the frame of the machine and comprising at its upper part the coquette or other element taking its place and ensuring guiding the spindle and, at its lower part, a bowl carrying the grain, in which the point or foot of said spindle rotates; the drive thereof is provided by contact with a belt moving in the open area between the coquette and the aforementioned bowl.
, The assembly according to the invention has for object to damp the vibrations
<EMI ID = 1.1>
at the request of the spindle, leaving it the possibility of moving elastically not only in the radial direction, but also in inclination, without however being able to be rotated by its contact with the rotating tip of the spindle.
For this purpose, according to one embodiment of this assembly, the grain has an outside diameter, smaller than the bore of its housing in its support member, so that an annular void space is provided concentric with the axis of the spindle, between the grain and said support member,
and in which is placed a spiral leaf spring, one end of which is fixed to the grain and the other to the support member, said grain having,
in addition, a base profile in the form of a spherical cap, dse so as to be supported only by a point of tangency in the bottom of its housing.
A blued steel plate can moreover, advantageously,
be interposed between the bottom of the support housing and the grain, in order to avoid any direct contact between these two components, one of which is made of special steel, while the other is made of low-cut metal of lesser hardness.
The attached schematic drawing shows, by way of example not
limitative, one embodiment of this spindle holder grain assembly.
Fig. 1 is an overall view of a spindle holder; Figs. 2 and 3 are, on an enlarged scale, views, respectively in section, along 2-2 of FIG. 3 and in plan from above, of the lower bowl and of the grain of this spindle holder.

on the frame of the textile machine, for example a mill; at its upper part, this arm? ends in the form of a cup 4 inside which is housed, in the usual way, the cup 1 ensuring the guidance of the
spindle ; at its lower part; arm 2 ends with a threaded bore

cup , has, according to the invention, the shape of a spherical cap, of
such that the contact between grain and support bowl is effected according to a point.
<EMI ID = 4.1>
and the bottom of the bowl is interposed a plate 12 made of steel
blued, thus avoiding direct contact between the grain 2 which is made
made of special steel and the support cup [pound] which, made of low-cut metal
is much less hard.
It is easy to see that due, on the one hand, to the elastic mounting of the grain 2 inside the support bowl and, on the other hand,
the convex shape of the base of this grain, all the vibrations of the spindle [pound]
are damped by said grain and that it orients itself
at the request of the spindle, moving elastically not only in the
<EMI ID = 5.1>
only that it only rests on the bowl by a point of a convex surface
As goes without saying, the invention is not limited to the sole embodiment of this spindle holder assembly, which has been indicated above.
by way of example, it embraces on the contrary all the variants of
production.
CLAIMS.
<EMI ID = 6.1>
in that the vibrations of the spindle are damped in the base cup
serving as a support for the grain and in that this grain is oriented on demand
of the spindle by moving elastically not only in the radial direction,
but also in inclination, without however being able to be trained in
rotation by its contact with the rotating tip of the spindle.
