The present invention relates to a balance for a timepiece, in particular for an electric timepiece, comprising at least one element with difficult to control density, and at least one counterweight, in which one of said elements - difficult to control density controllable and counterweight - is movable so as to be angularly displaceable so that at least coarse balancing of the balance can be effected by a relative movement of said element and of the counterweight.
Such timepieces are known per se, more precisely timepieces whose balance carries a coil balanced by a counterweight, the latter being movably mounted on the balance plate so that its angular position is adjustable, this which allows you to adjust the balance.
However, in this construction, the counterweight is movable on the balance plate, which requires the latter to be provided with means for guiding the counterweight.
The aim of the present invention is to provide a simpler constructive solution.
To this end, the balance according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the element with a difficult to control density and / or the counterweight are integral with a support mounted itself with heavy friction, at least indirectly, on the balance shaft. .
It should be noted that it is also known practice to mount a magnet and a counterweight each on a support wedged on the balance shaft, without however this support being mounted with greasy friction and can. therefore, being angularly displaced on said shaft. In the known arrangements. it is an assembly in which the counterweight and the magnet are diametrically opposed, without possible modification of their relative position.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of a balance for an electric watch, and
fig. 2 is a section taken along the line II-II of FIG. I.
The balance shown comprises a shaft I on which is driven a sleeve 2 carrying, at one of its ends, crimped at 3, a sector-shaped plate 4 carrying two permanent magnets 5 and a thin radial arm 6 provided, at its end, of a part 6a in the form of a crown segment forming a counterweight.
A plate 7 is fixed on the two magnets 5 and ensures their magnetic shuntage. A lower plate 8, also forming a magnetic shunt part, is crimped at 9 at the lower end of the sleeve 2 which thus acts as a spacer.
The crimping at 3 of the plate 4 and the arm 6 is such that the plate and the arm can be displaced angularly, with heavy friction, on the sleeve 2. Thanks to this arrangement, the relative angular position between the magnets 5 and the counterweight 6a can be adjusted to ensure at least coarse balancing of the pendulum. If necessary, fine balancing will be achieved by removing material from the counterweight.
The risk is thus eliminated that this removal of material falls outside the counterweight itself.
It should be noted that, in practice, the adjustment is effected by acting on the counterweight 6a only, to move it angularly with respect to the axis of the balance, and not on the sector 4, which would require moving d 'a corresponding value the plate 8 so that the magnets 5 remain in a correct position relative to the plate.
