<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Sealing cap with device for draining the contents of the container.
The invention relates to stopper caps for containers of any kind, more particularly flasks, bottles, tubes, etc.
Its purpose is, at the same time as to ensure a hermetic stopper, to allow a certain quantity of the contents of the container to flow out at will, even drop by drop.
The closure cap forming the subject of the invention is characterized mainly in that it consists of a cap of flexible material. advantageously having a certain elasticity ensuring a perfect seal and
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
having a part which serves as a plug for a wrench which need only be turned to determine the opening and closing of flow holes, said wrench being held in place by the very elasticity of the material of the cap.
The invention also relates to other accessory arrangements which will emerge from the explanations provided below.
The description which follows, with reference to the appended drawing given by way of example, relates to three embodiments and will allow the invention to be fully understood.
FIG. 1 shows a dropper bottle comprising a stopper cap according to a first embodiment with a horizontal key, the elements being shown in axial vertical section along line 1-1 of FIG. 3 in the position opening the key.
Figure 2 shows the same bottle, the elements being shown in a vertical section 90 from the previous one therefore along line 2-2 of Figure 1, in the key closed position.
FIG. 3 represents, also in axial vertical section, a similar arrangement, but comprising a vertical dropper and a key similar to that of a tap, the elements being in the open position of the key.
FIG. 4 shows in a similar manner another variant.
According to the embodiment of FIG. 1, the capsule consists of a cap 1 of flexible material, rubber. polyvinyl chloride, etc. frictionally adjusted on the neck 2 of the bottle so as to ensure a perfect seal by adhesion.
According to one of its diameters, the capsule 1 presents @
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
a protruding part 3 comprising a horizontal housing into which is threaded a horizontal key 4, of rigid material, metal, wood, plastic or the like, held firmly in place by the very elasticity of the material of the cap , but so as to be able to rotate around its own axis. This projecting part 3 thus forms a plug for, - the key 4. This key extends far beyond one side and may end with a part forming a pouring spout.
The horizontal channel communicates through two holes 5-6 with the interior of the bottle, while the key 4 has a perforation or a longitudinal groove 7 which is, when said key occupies the open position shown in Figure 1, in communication with holes 5-6. In this position of the key, part of the contents of the bottle can flow through said key to the spout when the bottle is tilted. The dimensions of the holes and the groove in the particular case of this example are such that the flow occurs drip according to the officinal data of Codex droppers.
The groove 7 is extended to the end of the key opposite the spout and opens to the outside, which allows air to return to facilitate the flow.
By turning the key in its plug, to move it to the position of FIG. 2, or closed position, the flow is stopped.
According to the embodiment of Figure 3 the element playing the role of the key 4 which is the pouring element of the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2 is integral with the capsule 1. The capsule comprises the projection 3 forming the plug of a tap in which turns a key 8. The dropper element or pouring element has a flow groove 7 and an air inlet groove 9 and the key 8
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
comprises two grooves placing the interior of the bottle in communication with the exterior via the grooves 7 and 8.
In the variant of FIG. 4, the cap comprises, as in FIGS. 1 and 2, a projecting part 3 forming a plug for the key 4 which may have the form of a simple nut bearing an extension (not shown). which goes through the bushel and allows this nut to be maneuvered from the outside. Said nut has a hole 14 which passes entirely through it and can establish, as shown in FIG. 4, the communication between the orifices 12 and 13 drilled through the plug and making the latter communicate, one with the inside. of the bottle, the other with the outside. The communication is intercepted by turning the key.
This embodiment is particularly applicable to the case of tubes containing a very viscous liquid or a soft paste, such as tin tubes used for ointments.
The cap, instead of being made of a flexible material could be made of a semi-elastic material, it would be advantageous in this case to provide means, such as threads., To ensure the Bolide maintenance of the cap on the neck of the container. Threads of this kind are shown in Figures 3 and 4. In Figure 4 it is a screw cap which holds the flexible material cap forming a seal on the neck. It would also be possible, in order to ensure more elasticity for these elements of semi-elastic material, to provide slits at suitable locations.
It will be understood that this capping can be applied to any kind of bottle, that it has a very high seal and allows very easy and rapid handling.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the provisions described above, on the contrary, it embraces
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
all variants based on the same principle.
