<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Device for the automatic closure of bottles, provided with a discharge opening.
The invention relates to a closure system provided with a flow orifice, in which the closure is effected by the automatic return to the closed position of a member which, moved by the compression. a spring device, uncovers the liquid flow orifice, and which allows the movements required when using the bottles to be reduced to a strict minimum.
Although the automatic closure system according to the invention can be applied to any bottles containing the most diverse liquid products, its use will find a particularly wide field in the field of perfumery. Most generally, the bottles used in this branch of industry have a threaded neck onto which a cap fits. besides that it does not achieve absolute sealing, this method of closing has the disadvantage of requiring the use of both hands to open the bottle, pour out the contents and close it again.
In another patent application by the same inventor, an automatic shutter intended to eliminate these drawbacks has been described.

The present invention, in a different embodiment, contributes to an analogous result, that is to say it will make it possible to carry out the opening of the opening by a single movement of one hand. a vial, the flow of its contents and its immediate and subsequent hermetic sealing.
For this purpose, the automatic closure device according to the invention consists of a fixed element integral with the neck and shaped as a chapel with a cylindrical head, the internal part of which is in communication with the liquid contained in the bottle and which is pierced laterally with 'an orifice, a cylindrical thimble being mounted with gentle and tight friction around said cylindrical head, which thimble is provided with an orifice putting the interior of the thimble in communication with the exterior, the orifice of the cylindrical head being placed opposite the orifice of the die, in a determined angular position of the head and the die, a spring bearing, on the one hand, on the chapel or cylindrical head and, on the other hand, on the of,
by normally maintaining the thimble and the head in a relative angular position other than a position in which the orifices of the thimble and the head are placed in communication, said thimble possibly comprising a pushing member, for example a rod, tab or lug which, for example thrust against the action of said spring, allows the partial or total facing of the two said orifices. In this way, it is possible, by holding the bottle with one hand and by exerting a thrust with a finger of the same hand on the pusher against the action of the spring, causing said facing and pouring the liquid at will. When you stop exerting pressure on the plunger, the elements released from the pressure exerted by the spring automatically return to their place, the orifices of the head and of the die cease to be in communication and the bottle is again. hermetically sealed.
Other details and features of the invention will appear.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
during the description of the accompanying drawings which show by way of example only one embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows in perspective the whole of the chapel with cylindrical head and the die which surrounds it.
Fig. 2 shows in section and elevation, the constituent parts of this assembly.
The same elements are designated in the various figures by the same reference numerals.
The automatic closure device intended to be mounted on a bottle, for example a bottle with a threaded neck, consists of a fixed element 2 integral with the neck by screwing onto this neck or forming an integral part of the neck. This element 2 is in the form of a chapel with a cylindrical head, that is to say closed or open in 3 at its upper part, and hollow. The interior of this element is in communication with the exterior via a small orifice 4. Its lower part 5 is, in the example described, tapped at 6 to allow it to be screwed onto the neck of a bottle. This element may however form an integral part of the neck of a bottle designed for this purpose.
The cylindrical head 2 is surrounded by a spiral spring 7, a folded end 8 of which bears in a small cavity 9 formed at the base of said head. The other end 10 of this spring is extended by a rectilinear part which is introduced into an orifice or channel 11 made in a cylindrical die 12, through an ear or pusher 13 forming an integral part of the cylindrical die 12. This die has a hole 14.
When the chapel 2, the spring 7 and the die 12 are assembled, the orifice 4 comes to the level of the orifice 14, but normally, the spring 7 exerts a torque which puts out of communication the orifices 4 and 14. Holding the vial with one hand and exerting with a finger of the same hand, for example the thumb, a

pushed on the ear 13 or any other part of the die, the orifices 4 and 14 are placed in communication, so that one can, using one hand, pour out liquid without further manipulation.
When this thrust ceases, the spring relaxes, the constituent elements automatically return to their place, the orifices 4 and 14 are no longer in communication and the gentle friction mounting of the die 12 on the chapel 2 ensures perfect sealing.
If necessary, seals can be provided between the thimble and the chapel and / or between the base of the chapel and the bottle when the base is screwed onto the latter.
The automatic closure and flow device according to the invention can be made of glass, metal, plastic or any other material, or part or all of the chapel can be made of the material from which the cap is made. bottle, that is to say, to be of a single coming with him. Eventually, the die could be an integral part of the bottle.
According to a variant of the invention, the chapel and its dome or dome may include orifices with a vertical axis.
For the adaptation of a guarantee seal with a view to preventing unauthorized opening of the device, a lateral eyelet can be provided on the neck, in which a link would pass through, on the other hand, an orifice formed in the pusher.
It is obvious that the invention is not limited to the example described and shown and that many modifications can be made to the number, the form, the type and the constitution of the elements involved in its realization without for that sor - within the scope of the invention.
