Description

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  Ae pnare arrangement, in particular for motorcycles.

   The present invention relates to a motorcycle of the kind in which at the upper end of the front fork, at about the height of the handlebars, a housing-like body is organically connected and can be used to receive instruments, for example the speed measuring device. In a similar motorcycle an attempt has been made to accommodate the recessed headlight as well inside this instrument holder in the form of a housing. The recessed placement of the headlight does not however allow the establishment of an irreproachable electrical connection because of the connections of the terminals that are difficult to access inside this instrument holder; likewise the place-

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 The cables are also complicated in this arrangement of the headlight.

   The object of the present invention is to eliminate this difficulty. This result is obtained according to the present invention by the fact that the headlight with all its accessories is attached as a complete part (ready for operation), on the front side, to the instrument holder in the form of a housing, all the parts such as the fork. front, the instrument holder and the attached headlight forming a coherent whole. For the manufacturer of motorcycles, the addition of headlight lighting is notably facilitated by this fact since the complicated fixing of the electric cable lines disappears. Applying and removing the headlight is very quick and extremely convenient.

   By the fact that the parts in question form a complete whole, the appearance of the motorcycle is also improved.

  These parts advantageously have an aerodynamic shape, which is an advantage from the point of view of air resistance. The joint between the rear wall of the headlight and the open front face of the housing-shaped instrument holder can also be covered by a ring which, produced for example with chrome plating, improves the appearance of the motorcycle.

   The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention in a side view of the front part of a motorcycle.

   Closed (full) fork sleeves, of usual construction, which are arranged so as to be able to rotate relative to the steering head 3 by means of the connecting rod 2, are designated by 1. At the upper end of the fork sleeves 1 has been organically connected, but for the remainder removable, a wrapping body 4 in the form of a box or 10 housing. In the upper part, this connected housing body receives the speed measuring device 5. The front open face of the housing body 4 has been connected to

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 detachable way by means of screws 7 the headlight 6 as a ready-to-service part. The headlight is supported on a console 8 arranged on the fork sleeves 1 so that the fixing screws 7 are unloaded.

   The separation joint between the enveloping body 4 and the rear wall of the headlight is covered by a ring 9, preferably chrome. As shown in the drawing, by this type of arrangement of the headlight, we obtain a closed form of the assembly comprising the headlight 6, its support 4 and the fork sleeves I. On the other hand, the interior parts housed in the support 4 of the lighthouse or covered by it are easily accessible after ** removal of the lighthouse and can therefore be conveniently monitored.

  Besides the placement of the tachometer 5 and other measuring instruments, it is of course also possible to incorporate or join the warning horn, possibly also the switch, in the housing body 4.
