<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY filed in support of an application for a “Refrigerated cabinet” PATENT OF INVENTION.
The present invention relates to a refrigeration cabinet of particularly simple design and execution and of an extremely reduced ice flow.
Indeed, the invention consists essentially of a piece of furniture in the form of a cabinet and the interior oapaoité of which is divided into two distinct spaces, one of which constitutes the receptacle for ice cream or similar cold elements, while the the other is arranged so as to allow an efficient circulation of the air, so as to create a lowering and an adjustment of the temperature inside the said conservation chamber.
The constructive characteristics will emerge more from the concrete example set out in more detail below.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
and shown schematically in vertical section in the attached figure.
Indeed, according to this figure, the actual cabinet 1 is produced apparently in the known manner, that is to say by walls of insulating material, of suitable thickness. Inside is arranged a zinc tray 2, forming the receptacle for ice cream or any other cold generating product. This tray is separated from the actual conservation chamber 3 by a wall also made of insulating material 4. Under its rear face and in the upper part, the tray has openings 5 for the passage of cold art. On the other hand, it should be noted that the tray 2 is arranged at a certain distance from the bottom of the cabinet, while a duct 6, coming from the bottom of the receptacle 2, leads the water to the outside of the cabinet. 'cabinet.
Finally, the arrangement above the ice tray 2 of a space for the passage of air, further characterizes the original arrangement of said tray.
Under these conditions, the following characteristics are obtained. The air in the storage chamber being at a higher temperature than that placed in direct contact with the ice-cream receptacle 2, there follows an asional movement of this air, which is replaced by air coming from it. of the atmosphere of said ice container, while the warmer air in turn comes into contact with it. The cooling of the circulating air is moreover activated by the arrangement of the side openings 5 and thus a thermosiphon movement is created, the aim of which is to rapidly reduce the temperature of the conservation chamber. This movement continues until the temperature equilibrium of all places inside the refrigeration cabinet.
It will therefore be noted that the lowering of the temperature as well as the adjustment thereof in the preservation chamber are obtained automatically and in the absence of
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
any mechanism or installation that is complex or subject to deterioration.
Above the receptacle 2, in the ceiling of the cabinet, is provided a removable cover 7, making it possible to easily and quickly load said ice container.
Finally, provision is also made to arrange the ceiling of the refrigeration chamber obliquely, so as to facilitate the movement of the circulating air.
The result therefore is that a particularly efficient refrigeration cabinet is obtained and above all has an extremely low cost price. The cabinet itself can obviously be made in all shapes and sizes and in all materials deemed suitable, such as wood, metal, etc.
The cabinet could be lined with a cold absorbent material such as mirror, silver glass, polished metal, etc.
Provision can also be made to arrange the evacuation duct in the form of a siphon, with the aim of thus forming total security against infection from inside the cabinet.
CLAIMS?
1.- Refrigerated cabinet, characterized in that it comprises internally at least one receptacle capable of receiving ice or other cold generator, this receptacle being arranged so as to allow circulation of air around this tray, in the aim of systematically and rapidly cooling the air in the refrigeration chamber and at the same time obtaining an adjustment of this temperature.
