Claims (10)

1. An adjustable partition device with movable panels for a cooling apparatus intended to separate more or less with respect to the normally cooled compartments at least one compartment located in the lower zone of the apparatus and being thus cooled to a less degree than the normally cooled compartments, the temperature being adjustable, characterized in that it comprises a fixed partition element (1) haying such dimensions that at least one adjustment opening (16) remains at the rear part of the apparatus where the cold source is located, the cold air which is produced there being allowed to fall down therethrough, and at least one adjustment opening (17) having equivalent dimensions remains at the front part of the apparatus in order to permit the return of the warmed-up air to the upper part of the apparatus where cooling is obtained, and that it further comprises at least two movable panels (3, 4) capable to close more or less the at least two openings (16, 17), these at least two movable panels being mechanically linked by coupling means in such a manner that the displacement of one panel involves the displacement of the other panel in the opposite direction such that the openings (16, 17) are simultaneously opened or closed by the same amount.

An adjustable partition device according to claim 1, characterized in that there are two adjustment openings, left free at the rear and the front of the cooling apparatus: one at the front (17) and one at the rear (16), and in that there are also two movable panels (4 and 3) destined to close them.
3. An adjustable partition device according to claim 2, characterized in that the two movable panels (3 and 4) are disposed below the fixed partition element (1).
4. An adjustable partition device according to claim 3, characterized in that the coupling means causing the displacements of the two movable panels (3 and 4) which are simultaneous and in opposite directions, are fixed below the fixed partition element (1).
5. An adjustable partition device according to claim 4, characterized in that the coupling means comprise a toothed wheel (11) mounted rotating on an axis (12) and fixed below the fixed partition element (1), this toothed wheel engaging in toothed parts (9, 10) forming a rack and being realized on each of the two movable panels (3 and 4) so that the displacement of one of the two panels entails the rotation of that wheel (11) around its axis (12), said rotation entailing a displacement of the second panel in opposite direction of the first.
6. An adjustable partition device according to claim 5, characterized in that the toothed wheel (11) is mounted below the fixed partition element (1) in its central part, and in that the two movable panels (3 and 4) have each the general form of a square and are disposed symmetrically with respect to the toothed wheel (11), one arm of each square constituting the part closing the corrsponding adjustable opening, whereas the other arm, at a right angle to the first, comprises the toothed part which causes the engagement on the toothed wheel (11).
7. An adjustable partition device according to claim 6, characterized in that the two movable panels (3 and 4) are mounted gliding in lateral guides.
8. An adjustable partition device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the movable panel (4) situated at the front of the cooling apparatus comprises a gripping element (15) facilitating its operation.
9. An adjustable partition device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a plate (18) of thermally insulating material and having essentially the dimensions of the fixed partition element (1) is interposed between the latter and the movable panels (3 and 4).
10. Refrigerator, characterized in that it comprises at least one partition device according to one of the preceding claims.
