BREVET D'INVENTION SUPPORT REPLIABLE POUR CYCLES, par

L'invention a pour objet un support applicable aux bicyclettes et aux motocyclettes, qui peut occuper deux positions, dans l'une desquelles il est abattu le long de la fourche arrière, tandis que dans l'autre il est dirigé vers le bas et obliquement vers l'extérieur, de manière à prendre appui sur le terrain en soutenant debout le cycle auquel il est appliqua.
Le support suivant l'invention est caractérise par une tige en equerre dont le bras court est monté à pivotement dans les extrémités d'un étrier à branches inégales, fixable sur la fourche arrière du cycle, et le bras long est obligé par un ressort à appuyer fortement contre une plaque présentant deux creux, l'un horizontal, l'autre vertical, séparés entre eux par une double rampe raccordée avec les deux creux susdits.
Le dessin annexé représente à titre d'exemple un mode de construction du support suivant l'invention :
Fig. 1 est une vue frontale, dans laquelle le bras long du support est interrompu dans sa partie médiane;

Un étrier 1 à boulon $.permet l'application du support à la fourche arrière 3 d'un cycle quelconque 4. Les deux branches 5-6 dudit étrier, dont les longueurs sont inégales, présentent des trous dans lesquels passe le bras court 7 du support 8, pourvu à son extrémité extérieure d'un petit sabot 9. Un ressort 10, pointe d'un côté contre la branche 6 et de l'autre contre une rondelle 11, fixée par le goujon 12 sur le bras 7; ce ressort tend à maintenir le support 8 contre la branche 6, mais il lui permet de s'en éloigner par glissement de l'extrémité extérieurs du bras 7 dans le trou de la branche 5, où il est engagé à glis- sement,
La branche 6 présente deux creux 13-14, l'un horizontal et l'autre vertical, entre lesquels est ménagé un saillant 15 à rampes raccordées avec les creux 13-14.
Ces deux creux constituent respectivement les deux sièges de repos pour le support,dans lesquels il se trouve en position de dérobement (13) ou en position de fonctionnement (14). Il peut passer de l'une à l'autre de ces positions parffet d'un effort exercé sur le bras 8 tendant à le faire remonter sur le saillant 15 contre l'action du ressort 10.
Naturellement les divers détails de construction représent au dessin pourront varier sans sortir du cadre de l'inven- tion.

The object of the invention is a support applicable to bicycles and motorcycles, which can occupy two positions, in one of which it is lowered along the rear fork, while in the other it is directed downwards and obliquely. outwards, so as to take support on the ground while supporting upright the cycle to which it is applied.
The support according to the invention is characterized by an angled rod, the short arm of which is pivotally mounted in the ends of a bracket with unequal branches, which can be fixed on the rear fork of the cycle, and the long arm is forced by a spring to press strongly against a plate having two hollows, one horizontal, the other vertical, separated from each other by a double ramp connected with the two aforementioned hollows.
The appended drawing shows by way of example a method of construction of the support according to the invention:

A caliper 1 with bolt $. Allows the application of the support to the rear fork 3 of any cycle 4. The two branches 5-6 of said caliper, whose lengths are unequal, have holes through which the short arm 7 passes. the support 8, provided at its outer end with a small shoe 9. A spring 10 points on one side against the branch 6 and on the other against a washer 11, fixed by the pin 12 on the arm 7; this spring tends to hold the support 8 against the branch 6, but it allows it to move away from it by sliding the outer end of the arm 7 into the hole in the branch 5, where it is slidably engaged,
The branch 6 has two hollows 13-14, one horizontal and the other vertical, between which is formed a projection 15 with ramps connected with the hollows 13-14.
These two hollows respectively constitute the two rest seats for the support, in which it is in the retracted position (13) or in the operating position (14). It can switch from one of these positions to the other by the effect of a force exerted on the arm 8 tending to make it go up on the projection 15 against the action of the spring 10.
