   Cette invention est relative principalement à un aetiole de finissage pour véhicules automobiles et plus   parti@ulièrement   au type fermé où une moulure est uti- lisée pour entourer totalement ou partiellement des parties du corps de la voiture ; où la combinaison comprend une gouttière ou un réceptacle d'écoulement pour capter et enlever   l'eau ;   également les cas où on désire couvrir les endroits où l'étoffe du dessus s'arrête sur la partie supérieure de la voiture . L'une des qua- lités principales du dispositif est une forme de pièce de finissage qui peut être plaoée sur le véhicule après avoir été aohevée autrement en totalité et ne pas nuire au reste du   finissage .

   Le dessin annexé représente une forme de   :l'invention.   



   La fig. 1 est une élévation d'une portion du dessus d'une automobile montrant la pièce de finissage et dans laquelle la moulure unie se joint   à une   moulure   d'écoulement   pour donner un fini continu parfait . La fige 2 est une vue en perspective de la moulure d'écoulement représentée en fig.

   Comme il est représenté,l'invention complète montre tout d'abord deux parties , savoir une moulure 6 pour l'attache directe au corps du véhicule et une pièce insérée 13 pour une couverture d'organe   d'attache .   Ce qu'on pour- rait appeler l'organe de base   µ(est   une bande à canal al- longée construite de préférence en   métal ,   ayant des re- bords 7   7,7   retournés en haut et dirigés en dedans l'un vers l'autre , formant un canal avec ouverture d'entrée rétrécie . L'organe de base 6 est de préférence construit en un métal conformé ou repoussé et ayant un certain degré de pliabilité à la main , mais d'autres matières peuvent âtre utilisées sans s'écarter du caractère de   l'invention.   



  Un but principal de ce canal est de fournir un moyen pour attacher la moulure 6   à   un corps de véhicule de manière à permettre au moyen d'attache d'être dissimulé après la fixation de la pièce de finissage de la moulure . Et le but prinaitif de l'ouverture de   canal" rétréoie   est de recevoir

 et retenir automatiquement dedans une insertion'13 d'un fini et d'un caractère tels qu'il   pourra/être   désirable pour la décoration , par l'action combinée des parois 9 du canal avec l'insertion elle-même , en conjonction avec l'ouverture rétrécie . A des intervalles espacés le long de ce canal sont ménagés transversalement des trous 12 perforant la base pour recevoir des moyens pour l'atta- cher au corps du véhicule .

   L'organe inséré est disposé pour être engagé dans le canal et y être retenu par friction , en couvrant les moyens d'attache et formant ainsi le fini décoratif décrit précédemment . Cet organe sera assez pliant pour être inséré à. la main et peut consister en une bande allongée de matière avec assez de flexibilité et d'élasticité pour lui permettre   d'être   facilement inséré à la main à travers l'ouverture du oanal et y être -retenu fermement par l'action combinée avec les parois du canal et il est facilement démontable sans perte ou détérioration d'aucune des matières ni de la moulure . 



   Cette insertion de fermeture n'est limitée à aucune nature particulière de matière ni à aucune manière particulière de construction   à   un point d'élastioité et de fermeté suffisantes ; elle n'est pas limitée non plus, à aucune décoration spéciale . Dans le dessin une forme est re- présentée comme étant construite en plusieurs couches de matières de couverture , et dans une autre forme l'in- sertion est représentée   oomma   consistant en une matière de finissage enfermant une pièce insérée ayant l'élasti- cité ou la forme voulue pour assurer une meilleure fric- tion et une meilleure forme .

   Dans la forme de l'insertion consistant en d'autre construction qu'une pluralité de plis de la matière de finissage , une seule épaisseur de matière de finissage peut être utilisée et une pièce

 d'insertion enfermée telle que du caoutchouc, du papier moulé ou toute matière légère ayant la flexibilité ou la souplesse et ayant aussi l'élasticité longitudinale . 



   L'invention ne réside en aucune matière particulière utili- sée dans   l'insertion   ni auoune forme structurale de   celle-     ci ,  mais elle est seulement relative ou utilisée à la combinaison avec le canal dans le but décrit . Dans les dessins ,les canaux sont représentés formés des deux genres de métaux , l'un étant de forme repoussée et   l'au-   tre d'un métal en feuille ; le principe du dispositif et de la structure est le type du canal et de son moyen de fermeture . Les bras de fermeture du canal ne sont limi- tés à aucune longueur .

   On peut prévoir que les rebords retournés en haut et en dedans soient de longueur telle qu'ils puissent être facilement rabattua par pression et se   re joindre   pratiquement au milieu , formant en   eux-   mêmes un moyen de couverture ou de fermeture par dessus les moyens d'attache .

   Un réceptable 10 et une paroi 11 sont représentée en combinaison avec une des parois du oanal s'étendant extérieurement à celui-ci , et formant une gouttière longitudinalement   à   la moulure en adaptant l'utilisation de la forme de moulure de base   à   celles des parties du véhicule situées au dessus des portières où elle est destinée à protéger contre la pluie ou la   tempête .   La structure de canal dans la moulure primaire et la structure de canal dans la moulure avec attache d'écoulement sont exactement les mûmes , et lorsqu'elles sont placées avec leurs extrémités se touchant , elles forment un finissage sensiblement continu de la moulure et une décoration , à l'aide duquel l'insertion peut être étendue d'une manière continue autour du corps du véhicule ou de toutes parties de oelle-oi .

   Le pouvoir décoratif de l'invention est une considération importante et se voit immédiatement .

   As shown, the complete invention firstly shows two parts, namely a molding 6 for direct attachment to the body of the vehicle and an insert 13 for an attachment member cover.
