<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A PREFABRICATED CELLAR AND THE CELLAR
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a prefabricated cellar and to the cellar itself, this cellar comprising a bottom plate, a cover panel provided with an inlet opening and a number of walls which extend in a vertical direction.
Such prefabricated cellars and their manufacturing methods are known from BE-A-9500450 and FR-A-2 617 217. When applying the covering panel to the walls, which already form an assembly with the bottom plate in known cellars, weak connections are formed between them, which causes cracks and / or water penetration.
The present invention aims to eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks and provides for this purpose a method according to the preamble of claim 1. This method is distinguished in that at the place of manufacture and is formed in a second step giving the first construction sufficient drying and resting time to reach a world-class cellar.
The process is preferably carried out in three stages, the bottom plate being manufactured in a first stage, the vertical walls in a second stage and the covering panel in a third stage.
The intervals between the different stages are preferably shorter than the time required for the concrete to dry, this ensuring a strong connection between the superimposed parts. Consequently, the concrete is already poured in a following stage, before the concrete of the preceding stage is dry and preferably at the precise moment when this concrete becomes undeformable.
According to the method of the present invention the cover panel is anchored to the walls, which in turn are already anchored to the bottom plate, such

so that no "weak" connection is present in the prefabricated cellars according to this process.
The invention will be better understood using the description of a preferred embodiment of the process and a number of examples of the construction of prefabricated cellars according to the present invention. In the drawings:
Figures 1-5 show side sectional views of a prefabricated cellar element according to the method of the invention in successive stages of execution; and Figures 6-8 show perspective views of three preferred embodiments of a prefabricated cellar according to the invention.
Figure 1 shows a first step of a preferred embodiment of a method according to the invention for the manufacture of a prefabricated cellar. The formwork 1 of the bottom plate 2 and its frame 3 are applied and the concrete 4 is poured into the formwork. To pour the concrete 4, the application of a reinforcement 5 for the vertical walls is started, a part 6 extending as far as the bottom plate 2. In the same way it is possible that part of the reinforcement from the bottom plate extends into the walls which are to be applied later.
Figure 2 shows the bottom plate 2 which is partially hardened, a formwork 8 being applied for the vertical walls 10, in which the concrete 9 is poured.
Figure 3 shows the end of the second step, during which the formwork 8 for the walls 10 is removed.
Before the walls are completely hardened and preferably after the walls are sufficiently non-deformable, a reinforcement 15, a wall formwork 11 and an internal formwork 12 for the covering panel are applied, as shown in FIG. 4, and concrete 16 is poured into it. The forms 11, 12 are provided with supports 13 and 14 respectively inside and at
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the outside of the cellar. The supports 13,14 and the interior formwork 12 are moved away from the prefabricated cellar according to the invention by an entry opening (not shown) of the covering panel 17. It is also possible that the formwork 12 and the supports 13 and 14 are replaced by prefabricated elements, which are preferably made of concrete and which preferably serve as lost formwork.
Figure 5 shows a side sectional view of a prefabricated cellar according to the invention manufactured by the three stages according to the method of the invention. As clearly illustrated, the frame for the different parts 2.10 and 17 of the cellar is preferably a steel network. In this way a good connection of parts 6 and 7 with the frame 3 and 15 can be obtained.
Figure 6 shows a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a prefabricated cellar according to the invention. This cellar comprises a bottom plate 2, a covering panel 17 and four vertical walls 10. The covering panel 17 projects relative to the walls 10 and is provided with an entry opening 18. Such a protruding overlap amplifies the surface for the constructions to be built on it, which causes a better distribution of forces.
FIG. 7 shows a perspective view of another preferred embodiment of a prefabricated cellar element according to the invention, the covering panel 17 being provided with an inlet opening 19, this opening 19 having a raised edge 20. In addition, the covering panel is provided with one or more beams 21. These beams 21 serve inter alia to support the construction which will be built there later. The cellar is also provided with a joist 22.
Figure 8 shows a perspective view of another preferred embodiment of a prefabricated cellar according to the invention, the vertical walls 23 being provided with a number of notches 24. In such a way
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
a considerable amount of material is saved, which reduces the cost and weight of such a construction.
It goes without saying that the cellar shown in the present invention is provided with ventilation, drainage and other suitable pipes.
