Chariot porte tailles haies multiples à fonctionnement automatique.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

Multi-hedge trolley with automatic operation.
The object of the present invention relates to an automatic displacement carriage supporting a series of foldable telescopic arms connected one after the other and on each of which is fixed an electric hedge trimmer and intended to simultaneously cut the 2 sides and the top of '' a hedge, in 1,2 or 3 successive operations.
Up to now, electric hedge trimmers have been known which consist of 2 superimposed blades comprising cutting teeth and driven in an alternating movement in order to cut the leaves, the branches and the branches of the hedges and used manually.
The quality of the work and the working time of hedge trimming depended on the dexterity and skill of the user.
The present invention proposes to provide a new solution eliminating the manual use of an electric hedge trimmer by proposing a support carriage moving automatically on the ground at the foot of the hedge under the action of an electric motor and a transmission to the wheels of the carriage, guided parallel to the hedge using an inverted U-shaped slide connected to the carriage and sliding on small posts sunk into the ground and emerging from the ground at an appropriate height, equidistant from each other always have at least 2 small posts enclosed by the slide and aligned parallel and at the foot of the hedge.
The trolley according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises 3 telescopic arms or not, the first being connected to the chassis by a support and a journal, the second telescopic arm or not being being connected to the end of the first to the using a support and a journal, the third telescopic arm or not being connected to the end of the second using a support and a journal.
A slide sliding around the second telescopic element of the first arm if it is telescopic supports an electric hedge trimmer according to the state of the known technique and whose blades are parallel to the first arm, a second electric hedge trimmer is fixed to. first element of the second telescopic arm and close to the connection of the first and second arms and. whose blades are parallel to the second arm.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
A third electric hedge trimmer is fixed to the third arm and to the end opposite to its connection with the second arm and the blades of which are parallel to the third arm. The first arm and the third arm are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground, the second arm is parallel to the ground. The different telescopic elements of the 3 arms if they include telescopic elements make it possible to position the different hedge trimmers according to the measures of the hedge.
Such a configuration according to the invention makes it possible to cut the 2 vertical sides of the hedge using the hedge trimmers located on the first and third telescopic arms and makes it possible to cut the top of the hedge using the hedge trimmer located on the second arm. The length of the blades only makes it possible to trim the hedges from a height limited to the length of the blades. For medium-height hedges, make a first move by cutting half of its height and make a second move by cutting the other half of the height of the hedge after moving the slider of the first arm and after sliding the second element of the third arm and without having modified the position of the second arm.
For hedges of great height a third displacement will be necessary after having made a rotation of 180 to the 2 sizes hedges corresponding to the first and third arms so that the blades are directed towards the sky so as to cut the upper part of the two sides of the hedge.
According to the invention when the device is deployed for use, it

the carriage must be weighted on the side furthest from the hedge to compensate for the overturning torque generated by the overhang of the third arm fitted with its hedge trimmer. When the device is not in use, the 3 telescopic arms fold up against each other and the assembly then rests on top of the cart, reducing the volume of the assembly and facilitating storage.
An apparatus meeting the characteristics of the present invention allows a quick and precise hedge pruning and eliminates the manual fastidieuselente and approximate use of an electric hedge trimmer characterized according to the state of the known art.

The invention set out below in more detail with the aid of drawings showing only one embodiment.
Figure 1 shows, in perspective, a way of making an apparatus according to the present invention in its deployed configuration and ready for use with maximum extension of the telescopic elements and placed on the ground and along a hedge which is not not shown here to avoid difficulties of understanding by superimposing the device and the hedge. In order to aid understanding, all of the description relates to an apparatus deployed in the position of use as according to the drawing in FIG. 1 and the ground in which it is placed is strictly horizontal as well as the top of the hedge and or both sides. hedges are strictly vertical.

Figure 3 shows in section the driving slide of the guide rail and the latter, transverse to the latter.
Figure 4 shows a sectional view of the connection between an arm of the carriage and the slide of the guide rail and longitudinally thereto.
Figure 5 shows in plan and without details the position of the 3 telescopic arms folded back on the trolley for storage.
In the embodiment according to the invention, a carriage 1 consisting of a frame in two horizontal beams parallel to the hedge connected by two or more other horizontal beams perpendicular to the hedge. Bearings 2 are fixed under the beams parallel to the hedge in which the transmission shafts 3 rotate, the axis of which is parallel to the ground and perpendicular to the hedge and each secured to each of their ends of a wheel 4 and outside the carriage frame 1.
According to the invention there can be 2 or more axles. The transmission shafts 3 are connected together by a chain 5 meshing with toothed wheels 6 secured to the transmission shafts 3. An electric motor 7 having at the end of its axis a toothed wheel 8 meshing with the chain 5,

mnteur 7 moves the carriage 1 in one direction or vice versa if the direction of rotation of the motor 7 is reversed.
Under the crosspiece parallel to the hedge and located on the side thereof and integral with the chassis of the carriage 1 are arranged two notches 9, one at the front and the other at the rear of the carriage 1 intended to allow respectively the passage of two arms 10 connected perpendicularly to each other by an arm 11 and each pierced longitudinally with holes 12 intended to receive in one of each of the arms 10 a pin 13 passing through a hole drilled in the cross member of the chassis of the carriage 1 and joining the arms 10 to the carriage 1.
The link arms 10 are each provided at their end opposite to the carriage 1 with a cylinder 14 containing a pin 15 sliding inside the cylinder 14 and held by a pressure spring. A part 16 in the form of an inverted U is integral with each cylinder 14 and encloses a rail 17 also in the form of an inverted U on which slides a slide 18 provided with a pin 19 perpendicular to the rail 17 and held by a pressure spring. This pin 19 is intended to be introduced into one of the two holes drilled in the rail 17 so as to secure the rail 17 of the slide 18.
When the carriage 1 moves it drives the two arms 10 and one of the two pins 15 secured to one of the arms 10 abuts against the bearing surface provided for this purpose of the slide 18 and thus securing the rail 17 with the carriage 1 if the corresponding pin 19 is engaged in a hole 20 and provided that the direction of movement of the carriage 1 is such that the excess length of the rail 17 relative to the carriage 1 is disposed towards the front of this direction of movement.
The combined movement of the carriage 1 and the rail 17 is guided longitudinally to the hedge and at a constant distance therefrom thanks to the fact that the rail 17 slides on the top of small posts 21 sunk into the ground with a part emerging from the ground and aligned parallel to the hedge and equidistant so that at least two small posts 21 are always gripped by the rail 17. This arrangement of the small posts 21 guiding the rail 17 made integral with the carriage 1 via the arms 10 and of the part 16 ensures an independent movement strictly parallel to the longitudinal direction of the hedge.
The rail 17 has a flaring 22 on the left, right and upwards on its three sides and at its two ends in order to facilitate the guiding of the rail 17 around the small posts 21.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
During the movement of the carriage 1 rail 17 assembly, the sliding pin 15 exerts pressure on its spring and slides in its cylinder 14, if the rail 17 encounters an unforeseen obstacle in its path, the pressure exerted on the pin 15 increases suddenly and then moves in the opposite direction to the movement of the carriage 1 and the end furthest from the slide 18 abuts against a contactor finger 23 circuit breaker stopping the electrical operation of the entire system.
According to the invention, on the top of the chassis of the carriage 1 are fixed two supports 24 supporting a pin 25 whose axis is parallel to the ground and parallel to the hedge around which turns at each of its ends an arm 26 whose longitudinal direction is parallel to the ground and perpendicular to the hedge.
