Liquid pointer, especially for gasoline in the container of automobiles.
Liquid indicators are already known in which a float slides on a spirally wound spindle and rotates it so that a pointer resting on the spindle indicates the
EMI1.1
These known liquid indicators cannot, however, completely fulfill their purpose, because, above all, no provision is made for the swimmer to slide without damaging them. A jamming and thus an unsafe indication of the amount of liquid contained is due to the fact that no provision is made for a safe straight guidance of the swimmer in that the swimmer is only guided on one side and has only one guide plate.
In other known liquid indicators, the spindle is formed by twisting a band iron, and any small bumps cannot be avoided.
The subject of the invention is the combination of known elements, whereby an accurate liquid display is guaranteed with certainty with the simplest manufacturing possibility.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown, u. between Fig. 1 illustrates a front view of the liquid indicator with

rotated, so that the amount of liquid present in the container can be read directly on the dial k on which the pointer seated on the rotatable spindle t plays.
The dial is covered in the usual way by a watch glass held between sealing rings.
If, under certain circumstances, a particularly precise reading of the amount of liquid is required, the device according to the present invention can be made such that the rotatable spindle does not have a single screw thread over its entire height, as shown in the drawing, but that several screw threads are provided , and the movement of the spindle on a pointer

The device according to the invention can be used for displaying the liquid level in storage containers of the most varied of types, but is primarily intended for displaying the gasoline present in the containers of automobiles.
