Process for cleaning raw juice during sugar production.

the juice always changes color to the latter. Also heating surfaces of the preheater u. Like. Covered with lime crusts. Another method is to clean the warm juice by taking it with you

is then heated, whereby a flaky precipitate forms, which can be easily filtered off. The juice is then separated with the still required amount of lime and saturated in the usual way.
Crust formation on the heating surfaces does not occur. on the other hand the juice becomes more complete from
EMI1.3
Saturation juice and sludge is returned to the raw material, the lower the consumption of lime required for further cleaning. In addition to the aforementioned advantages, there is also a well-known
Reduction of the sludge, which is also very easily exuded, is achieved, so that significant savings are achieved on all raw materials necessary for the production of the sugar, namely also on heating fuels.
The device required to carry out the process is simple and cheap and, in existing systems, is limited to changing the juice pipeline and inserting the measuring vessels for the saturated juice to be added into the juice run.
Example: Furnishing and work for the Modrany sugar factory. Böhmen, Behind the sludge pump, a branch pipe leads to the measuring vessel, which takes about a fifth of the drain and into which the saturation juice mixed with sludge constantly enters. From there it flows into a container into which the raw juice coming from the balance is introduced. At the same time, about 0'4% lime is added, which is necessary to maintain the necessary alkalinity of the juice. This mixture of raw and saturated juice, sludge and lime is heated to 850 in a heater.
