Temperatur von 70 bis 800 nicht überschritten wird ; erst nach Ablauf der Hauptreaktion lässt man eventuell die Temperatur auf 100 bis 1200 steigen und arbeitet dann das Reaktionsgemisch auf.
Beispiel 3 :
Das Durchleiten der Ammoniumbisulfitlösung durch Apparate, welche das örtliche Erhitzen auf die Reaktionstemperatur gestatten, kann z. B. in der Weise ausgeführt werden, dass man eine zweckmässig konzentrierte Lösung von Ammoniumbisuint mit Hilfe einer Pumpe durch ein auf zirka 1500 geheiztes und unter Druck gehaltenes Rohrsystem hindurchpumpt. Die Umwandlung des Ammoniumbisulfits erfolgt in kurzer Zeit während des Durchfliessens, so dass am Ende des Rohrsystems die fertig umgesetzte Lösung von Ammoniumsulfat austritt. Zweckmässig arbeitet man, aus Gründen der Wärmeökonomie, im Gegenstrom, d. h. man gibt der aus dem Apparat austretenden Lösung Gelegenheit, ihre Wärme an die eintretende Lösung abzugeben.
Diese Arbeitsweise gestattet, mit verhältnismässig kleinen und betriebssicheren Vorrichtungen auszukommen, was bei der Schwierigkeit, für die Behandlung der sauren Lösungen unter Druck bei hohen Temperaturen geeignete Materialien zu finden, von grossem Vorteil ist.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Verfahren zur Darstellung von Ammoniumsulfat aus Ammoniumblsulfit, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Lösungen von Ammoniumbisulfit oder von Gemischen desselben mit neutralem Ammoniumsulfat in Gegenwart von zugesetzten Katalysatoren erhitzt.

The conversion of the ammonium bisulfite takes place in a short time while it is flowing through, so that the completely converted solution of ammonium sulfate emerges at the end of the pipe system. For reasons of heat economy, it is advisable to work in countercurrent, i. H. the solution emerging from the apparatus is given the opportunity to give off its heat to the incoming solution.
This mode of operation makes it possible to manage with relatively small and operationally reliable devices, which is of great advantage in view of the difficulty of finding suitable materials for treating the acidic solutions under pressure at high temperatures.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the preparation of ammonium sulfate from ammonium bsulfite, characterized in that solutions of ammonium bisulfite or of mixtures thereof with neutral ammonium sulfate are heated in the presence of added catalysts.
