Glyzerinersatz.
EMI1.1
fücht'skeit uni Lnveränderlichkeit an der Luft.
Was die Gefrierpunktserniedrigung bezw.

Glycerine substitute.
It has been found that solutions of lactic acid salts, particularly the sodium and potassium salts, are excellent substitutes for glycerol in all of these cases. where it is a question of harnessing the physical properties of glycerine.
So it comes into particular consideration here, respectively, the property of this substance to lower the freezing point of liquids. to raise the boiling point and in particular
EMI1.1
Fortitude and immutability in the air.
What the freezing point depression respectively. Boiling point increase concerns, so show this
Property of course also other salts. It should be noted, however, that the degree of change in the case of lactic acid alkalis applies; avenging is so significant that an explanation for it has not yet been found. In this regard, this is new
Agent, which should serve as a substitute for glycerine, according to the substance it is intended to replace. insofar to lower the freezing point respectively. to increase the
Boiling point significantly lower additions of the new. Means are sufficient as they were required for glycerine itself.
With regard to the viscosity, the ratios are similar insofar as it is possible to obtain a higher viscosity than with pure glycerine by increasing the concentration of the solution. The concentration of the solutions can be arbitrary, it will of course have to be based on the respective purpose. Concentrated solutions will come into consideration where there is a particularly high viscosity, while in those cases where it matters, the freezing point BEZW. To influence the boiling point, the concentration of the solutions is less of a consideration.
The new agent can be used with success in all possible areas of application of glycerine, in the following the most essential uses may be mentioned without saying anything. one is supposed that other than the listed purposes could not also come into question.
Because of their viscosity, solutions of milk acidic alkalis can be used in recoil guns and machine guns, and also as lubricants, both for steam engines and for ice machines; As an additive to the water, the solutions are used to prevent freezing on the one hand and evaporation on the other.
The filling of gas meters and the cooling of engines are particularly important here. For these purposes, the neutral property of the solutions is also important, as a result of which attack of the metal parts is prevented.
Other possible uses, where the low volatility and the immutability in air combined with the viscosity play a role, the softening of leather, the production of letterpress cylinders, elastic forms, the production of copier inks, stamp inks, putty, wax, the additive to mustard to prevent it from drying out, also to Schnupftal a. k, modeling, sizing for fabrics, in dyeing, fabric printing, also for the production of letterpress ink and other similar purposes.

Finally, the use of the new product for cosmetic and medical purposes should also be mentioned. z. B. also for enema as a substitute for oil, furthermore for storage

Of course, the solutions of lactic acid alkalis can also be used instead of glacial baths, e.g. B. in field kitchens, use.
The quantities of milk to be used. External alkalis depend on the use

Soda can not be made to freeze even at -60 C, while the solution of a 50% glycerine hardens at -20 C.
The boiling point of water is, for example, 80 parts of glycerine in 100 parts
